Exactly What is Needed and Expected

Easily adjustable cup without slipping or falling off ever, perfect sound for cups, and adjustable, again, to your needs. Corks are tough enough and don't get torn apart if looked after properly. Overall easily better than the ones handed out in bands, and without all the dents.

Versatile

Love this mute, adjustable that allows tone change. Standard must have in the case. Free blowing and easy to play, no noticeable problems with intonation, highly recommend. Excellent customer service from the Denis Wick factory.

Magical

Some things, accessories in particular, you expect to be the same no matter who makes them. Denis Wick is not like that, the sound is so perfect that you dont find in other mutes. You can hear it even on YouTube videos, it?s distinctive. Have this for years, and has not taken any age related impact.

Good quality cup mute, nice feedback, but the quality of the chorks isn't "the top". The top section of the mute (the black tape) can damage the bell of the trumpet if not carefull. Overall great cup mute for amateur players that don't want to pay too much money.

I haven't tried many different mutes but so far I really like the Denis Wick mutes. This one sounds great and fits very well into the bell. I really like that the cup is adjustable and removable. It opens up a lot of possibilities.

I have found that it is possible to achieve a sound very similar to a stone lined cup mute by bringing the cup very close to the bell. Used without the cup, this mute is a dark toned straight mute. A single mute with a variety of different sounds.

It's like ten mutes in one!

This is probably the best trumpet mute I've played, not to mention the best cup mute! Where to start? As expected from Denis Wick, the quality of this mute is perfect, but it's the sound that will blow you away. What I love most about this mute is the fact that I can get so many different tone colours by adjusting the position of the cup, 1 mm seems to make a huge difference! There's not much back pressure and intonation is perfect. This mute allows me to fit in with ANY group/style of music. Also, if I am stuck, I can simply remove the cup and I have a pretty decent straight mute! Without doubt an essential mute for any trumpeter.

Geat trumpet mute. The facility to move the cup is great for practise when noise is a consideration.
