Still the best pitch shifter on the market
Iâve used a lot of pitch shifters and whammys, and this is still the best sounding one Iâve encountered. No artifacts when using the pitch shifter, and itâs incredibly reliable. Great tracking too. Get one of these instead of retuning your guitar every time you want to change tunings. My 7 string is tuned to Drop G#, and I use this pedal to tune to Drop G, F#, F, E and D. Instead of tuning the guitar differently and setting it up with fresh strings, I just use this to tune lower. My 6 string is in Drop C and I use this pedal for Drop B and Drop A# Insanely good
Zwei super Pedale in Einem
Great pitch-shifter
Really nice pitch-shifter, specially the "drop" part of it. The only downside I can think of is the "harmonizer" mode, which sounds a bit too "digitally" to my ears. But then again, this "downside" is highly subjective.
All in one
If you want octaver, chorus +all whammy features - This is for you... You also need a lot of space on board. It does the job! Very nice pedal!
Best pitch shifter period
I didn't have the chance to try the unit before buying, so I had a few concerns about latency and pitch tracking. I've tried other pitch shifters and they fall apart when playing complex chords. The whammy DT handles everything I throw at it while maintaining a natural tone with no warbling pitch . Obviously when tuning down by a lot the tone can change, but that can be compensated for with a tighter distortion sound. Latency isn't an issue either, as I can play very fast scales and arpeggios without issue. The combination of features in the Whammy DT is well worth the large footprint; you don't have to choose between being drop tuned or using the whammy functions. The only thing missing is the classic mode from the Whammy V, but I prefer the solid pitch tracking of the newer algorithm.
Very versatile
The whammy DT can make a lot of interesting sounds. I've had it less than a week and have learned a handful of songs that I can only play using features found in the unit. You can mimic an octave pedal, a 12 string, I've used it with an 8 string guitar and a 5 string bass, and you get all sorts of interesting results. I specifically got it for the ability to drop tune without changing your instrument, and the whammy part is just a bonus. If you're down tuning more than 3 half steps down, the sound degrades, but I'm fine with that. The sound quality is quite good and it fills in the spots on my board I needed it to.
The classic Whammy pedal with loads of extras
Wanted that iconic sound to add to my pedalboard .. very little noise and a deceptively versatile pedal ,harmonies, the classic dive bomb , detuning a must have for the more adventurous musician ... With a little tweaking can even create a very effective violin like tone, amongst many ithers
Itâs got it all
It’s about the most versatile pitch shifter on the market and has about the best DSP for it. Harmonizing is super clean and tracks beautifully, and the tuning shift is incredibly clean both for up tuning and down tuning. Truly can’t go wrong with this pedal.
Great pedal
Great pedal. Can do octave up and/or down and it extremely versatile. Handy for quick key changes
Better than I expected
The drop-tuning sounds very clear even an octave down.
