Doepfer A-100P9 Case PSU3 Reviews
Love this case
Bought this case to compliment my other cases with a view to playing out live with a favourite selection of modules in a 9u case. Really great, and handles the power well. I have managed to close the lid with cables attached (normal doepfer ones), but bought some 90 degree angled ones and will test them as not much room with standard cables once you put the lid on and wouldn't want to damage anything. Quality control on my case a little hit and miss, or maybe got damaged in transit. The top rail is a bit off (leaving a couple of slight gaps in between modules on the right hand side) despite the screws being lined up. Wonder if there might be a slight warp in the case or bend in the rack rail.
Other than that no problems and love it. My fourth case now in my ever expanding modular set up!! (1 x 9u, 1 x 6u, 1 x 3u and this, x 9u). Better stop to keep the bank manager happy!
Great Travel Case
Great case. Sturdy enough to keep all you modules safe if you need to move them around frequently.
Wonderful, sturdy case
Purchased this case because my Moog 60hp skiff was quickly becoming too small for everything I wanted to get.
Great, solidly built case with lots of space. Supplies clean power and plugs in directly to the wall socket so you don't need to carry around a bulky adapter when you're performing. The downside of an internal power supply is that it adds to the weight of the case, but I don't mind that at all.
It feels like a premium case and the rails are perfectly built.
One downside is you can't place this case at an angle because the power cable plugs in from the back and sticks out a little bit. It would be nice if it was placed higher up, or somewhere on the side.
All in all, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and recommend this case to anyone looking to build a road worthy, reliable eurorack.
Great case
This case has everything you need to power whatever module you want.
Oldie but a goodie
Holds up well against the newer euro cases, PSU3 solves the issue of the older versions not having quite enough power available or no 5V from the PSU2. Cost per HP is good vs the typical 2x104 cases that cost more than this one, its nice quality and built to take a beating, not that I would recommend that! I suppose the only issue for some would be that its fairly heavy compared to the smaller, lighter aluminium ones. For me personally its not an issue, I can lift them easily enough and they dont get moved much anyway, instead of one large immobile case I opted to get a few of these so the rack can be packed up away from dust and moved around easily if required. Solid choice all around and due to the square size and stackable design I can add or subtract cases as required.
Very solid case!
This is of course a classic Eurorack case. Plenty of power, and good for transportation. The only tiny thing I can think of as a downside is that you can't use it horizontally because the power cable gets in the way, even if you use an L-shaped cable. This is however just a very small thing... I love this case and will probably get another one soon.
Exactly as expected
Excellent build quality, remarkable design. Exactly what one would expect from Doepfer.
Build Like Tank.
Can use over hundred years. Great Stuff! I would like to buy another one.
Quality & Cool
Good sturdy first case - fits all my modules happily and looks great. Nice and light too. Very happy customer.
Doepfer A-100 P9 case
This case and power supply is a very cost-effective way of safely housing my Eurorack modules. It took me only a short time to rehouse 20 units and there is still room for more. The case itself is very sturdy yet easily portable and has great looks. I particularly llike the way Doepfer have used captive sliding nuts in the fitting rails - this means no more hunting for lost nuts. A great product!
Doepfer A-100P9
So happy with the Doepfer A-100P9, infact so happy i bought two.
I advise anybody who is starting off in eurorack to buy this case, Great build quality and plenty of room to fit all those gorgeous modules you've been drooling over, the Doepfer A-100P9 is a no brainer.
solid
title says it all, very solid. portable enough for a bus. great box
A tank!
Very solid construction. The handle is solidly affixed and elasticized, which makes carrying it around much easier. No issues with regard to noise. The only gripe I have is that if you're thinking to include more than a few digital modules you might find that the power supply of 1200mA is a bit limiting. The 6U unit seems to have a better balance between HP and available power. One corner of my unit has rust on it, though the rest are perfectly fine.
Making the case for Doepfer!
The A-100P9 is rugged, solid and reliable. Once again Doepfer excel in doing what they do best; building fantastic products at fantastic prices.
Great portable euro rack case
The Doepfer P series are great, portable, cases for euro modular synthesizers.
Doepfer Cases Rock
I have three of these: each is solidly built, great workman-like appearance and built to last. The power supplies have handled everything I can throw into the cases.
This is most likely very gig-worthy with a cover and dual clasp to secure it. A robust handle is firmly attatched.
The power lead is a standard 'kettle' type, but UK users should be aware that a UK plug is required (or adapter) and will need to be fitted onto the lead. This does not come as standard.
