I put these on my 35 year old Yamaha FG-series dreadnought, because I was specifically looking for strings that are low tension. They feel pretty slinky and are easy to play. The sound is pretty good: warm and round, with rich overtones. They are maybe not quite as crisp and sharp sounding as some other brands. The gauges of the 3 lowest strings are light (30, 40, 50) which really tames the boomy bass on my Yamaha. Concerning durability, they seem to last as long as the other major brands. I change them every 6 months.

This are totally my favourite acoustic guitar strings. I'm using them on a Santa Cruz DPW guitar, which is pretty top end. These strings last a long time but give me a nice bright tone with lots of high harmonics and are perfect for recording. I've found the high frequencies last well over time too and I haven't broken a string yet although I change them fairly regularly depending on how much I'm using the guitar at the time. My other favorite strings are the Elixir Nanos, which sound great and feel great, but don't quite have that brightness. That may be the sound you're looking for or if you're looking for really long lasting then the Polyweb is your best friend. Those last for a very long time and are worth the extra cost, but they are dull in the top end for my ears and also...

I've used these D'Addadio Silk & Steel strings for over a decade and prefer them over the standard bronze strings you typically see on steel string guitars. The reason being is that these offer a different experience altogether - they sound beautifully warm and mellow and they're a lot easier on the fingers (emphasis on this last part!). If you're put off sometimes by the harshness of the strings on a steel-string, say compared to a classical guitar, you'll definitely want to try these out. I also find them especially well-suited for fingerstyle guitar. The strings are white in appearance, which I find quite appealing personally. As mentioned they're my standard set of strings and I can't think of any cons. Just keep in mind the experience is different from your typical bronze...

I bought these for a friend that owns a Godin A6 ultra and he was not satisfied with the guitar's sound and he would not use it that much. I was sure that the instrument is great and that smth else was the issue. I saw a video with a guy explaining the same issue and he said that with these strings the sound was great. Even though they are acoustic guitar strings, they work perfectly with the A6's humbucker as well. He had sound samples and I could hear the huge difference. My friend couldn't believe it when he placed these strings on! They say also that the strings last 4 times more than normal strings and it's totally true

I currently use these strings on a cheap Baton Rouge 12-string. The usual Bronze strings usually sound a little too harsh on this guitar. The GHS 610, though, sound sparkly, brilliant and yet have a mellow quality to them, although they are light on the very bottom end of the frequency spectrum – if that's con for you depends on your specific preferences, I'd say. Playability is amazing. I can wholeheartedly recommend these strings. Just be aware that they are indeed coated in silver, so they will lose their shiny finish after a short period.

I'm using these strings with the Harley Benton GS-mini-e guitar (spruce top) and they make a great pairing as this give the guitar more bass and sweetness at the top end. I also tried this with a mahogany body guitar and they still sounded great but lost a bit of treble - nothing to do with the strings of course - those mahogany bodied guitars will be warmer sounding guitars anyway. I can't imagine them sounding anything but gorgeous on a more expensive guitar. The wound G-string did snap at the tuner hole after changing tunings a few too many times but that was my fault. Maybe something to keep in mind if you constantly change the tunings of your guitar. They are made in Mexico.

I've had a set of these on an acoustic in the house for around 2 years, and they still sound like I put them on last week. The slight increase in price is far outweighed by the extra durability, and consistency of sound. There is no noticeable difference in the way the string feels, or sounds with the nanoweb coating, but they are able to withstand so much more playing without corrosion / dulling. Would definitely recommend for any regularly gigging guitarists who would like to go through fewer sets of strings.

These make my Yamaha AC3R play like an electric - effortless. Super silky, elastic, with a clear and slightly thinner tone to them (perfect for fingerpicking and soloing). The only downside is - they wear down quickly if you bend and use vibrato a lot... and these strings tempt you to do that a lot because of how easy it is. The winding on the wound G will break and the string will go dead so keep extra strings at hand. These were recommended to me by my guitar tech and they have been my no.1 go-to for the past 4 years.

The Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light Acoustic String Set is an excellent choice for anyone looking to upgrade their acoustic guitar strings. These strings produce a beautifully detailed sound that is full of depth and nuance. One of the standout features of these strings is their durability. The Nanoweb coating helps to protect the strings from dirt, sweat, and other contaminants, which ensures that they last longer than other strings on the market. In terms of sound quality, these strings are exceptional. They produce a bright and clear sound that is full of detail and nuance. Whether you're playing fingerstyle or strumming chords, these strings will deliver a rich and balanced tone. Overall, I highly recommend the Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light Acoustic String Set to anyone looking for strings...

I bought these strings for the first time about one year after I started playing the guitar. I haven't bought any other strings ever since. I really like the warm tone and sustain, which they offer. Both strumming and picking sound very good, especially single picked notes have a very nice ring to them. I accidently even put them on my electric guitar once and was able to use them for quite a long time, because there wasn't really much difference to regular electric guitar strings. Their touch is pretty nice too, so all in all I would definitely recommend these strings.
