Versatile

There is so much more you can do with this compared to a pad with only one surface, makes practicing a Joy! Also the soft area (grey) is among the most quiet surfaces you can find compared to other pads which to me (and those around me) is very useful.

Amazing Practice Pad!

Great quality, rebound, and the fact that it has different surfaces makes it a must for anyone looking to practice rudiments to translate them to the drum kit :D

really good

Perfect.

The 4 zones allows you to practice combinations. They sound different (and rebound different) so you can practice hit-hat + snare. Very convenient to keep the rhythm just listening.

The only con I see is the weight, it's very heavy.

Glad I chose this to start practicing with

There are definitely cheaper and more basic pads out there, but the concept of Drumeo P4 is a pretty solid one. I didn't know what difference 4 pads instead of 1 would make but if you're someone getting started, I'd say this is a must-have, as the different pads produce different sounds when you hit them, so you immediately know when you've made a mistake when practising. I feel like this feature is going to help me learn so much faster, just because I can catch myself hitting it with the wrong hand before it sets in as muscle memory. Very well made as well, and rather travel-friendly. Super happy with my purchase (:

Next best thing?

It's doesn't sound like a drumkit, but it's nice to have diversified sounds for practicing rudiments.

It works for me very well

It is not cheap, but it is worth it for the practices I do. I use for example the grey surface to practice when everyone sleeps. I use the black/brown with my weak hand so it needs to work harder than the other - because these surfaces are less bouncy. The blue is an usual practice pad surface. All in all it's great to have so many choices on one pad.

Nice pad with multiple playing textures

I find the P4 an excellent pad due to the different playing surfaces. This will help you with your stick control even more.

The size of the surfaces is big enough to play without any issues but might need the player to adapt a little.

Build quality: So far no issues :).

WOULD REALLY RECOMMEND!

At first i thought this pad was over rated, but when i played around with it for a while it really grew on me. I would really recommend this practice pad, the 4 pads are really helpful at coming up with ideas for fills if you don't have a kit around. The different pads have different feels... one has a weaker bounce than the other which can really help perfecting your rudiments.

Great pad

Different surfaces are great to train transitions between drums.

The best practice pad there is

Totally versatile practice pad. The four zones all have a different feel so it emulates playing the drumkit more than other pads. Costly maybe but I've been looking for a practice pad like this for a long time. Don't want any other pad...

Not cheap, but worth it.

I bought the LP4 after hearing some good things about it. I was after a large practice pad and stumbled across this one. Its different to others because of the different playing surfaces. They each have a different bounce, sound, and overall feel. It makes practicing rudiments a bit more interesting as you can play patterns around the different surfaces. Overall i really do like it and prefer it to pads with just the one surface type. I thought it might be a bit of a gimmick but it really does make things a bit more interesting. Not the cheapest, but worth it in my opinion.
