Strymon Iridium Amp & IR Cab
Based on 18 reviews
I moved to an apartment and even with a small amp it is not practical to play in the evening at a decent volume. I research theDSM Humbolt and several other units before going with the Strymon. I have a lot of pedals to connect and wanted something that would take them well. Several days worth of reviews later I chose the Iridium. I purchased the Iridium to plug in a pedal board and listen through headphones. It does this incredibly well. There is enough variety in the 3 amps x 3 cabs to be able to dial in the tone you are looking for. I haven’t experimented with loading 3rd party IR’s but don’t think it will be necessary. I’m using a decent pair of headphones and the sound is really full and the level control works well. You can crank this up to loud is more good...
Boss CE-2w
Based on 17 reviews
The most beautiful bright analog chorus sound. This is the pedal that will get you that Roland JC120 / Boss CE-1 chorus sound that we all know and love from James Hetfield's clean sound, including the intros for Fade to black, Sanitarium, and One, and the bridge of Master of puppets. I plugged it in, had no problem finding the right setting for the nobs (depth at noticible but not in your face, around 10 or 11 o'clock, and just mess around a bit with the rate somewhere between not too slow and not too fast, it all sounds good) and it instantly sounds like that perfect clean Metallica sound. Choruses have a tendency to make everything blurry. This one just make it bigger, more interesting, and brighter, while still being clear and pronounced. It's awesome!
tc electronic Rush Booster
Based on 11 reviews
I have been satisfied from purchases before ,but this one will be part of my all time favorite. What a pedal! This 20 dB booster is everything that was promised. Yes, another excellent product from tc electronic. I have placed it at the end of my effects pedal but I see that it will be an amazing one to have also at first on the line. So, the features are actually , your ability to choose where to place it. My distortion absolutely shined with it. This machine manage to enhance of the effects, the best of their essence. You will hear your effects like never before! Fantastic! Only less fun thing; you have to unscrew 4 screws to add a 9 volts battery but since I will use it with a power supply station, it is no big deal. And for the price paid, definitely nothing of importance. I still...
Electro Harmonix Nano POG
Based on 10 reviews
I purchased this pedal for three main reasons (1) I wanted an octave down pedal that reproduced a straightforward one octave lower sound, without adding or subtracting loads of different EQ (I didnt want extra growl, grunt, dirt or any other options, just a 'clean' octaver) (2) I wanted a small pedal that fitted on my small pedal board, and that ran off my existing power supply chain (9v boss standard) (3) I wanted the ability to blend dry signal as required to get the right levels The fact this pedal also has a octave up was a bonus! Well Im pleased to say the pedal delivered on every count. I was very impressed with the build quality - and the footswitch is the quietest and best operating one Ive seen (in fact some people may miss not a having a big reassuring 'click' when pressing...
Fortin Mini Zuul Noise Gate
Based on 10 reviews
I use this as a sidechain noise gate, meaning a kick-drum og hihat triggers the key input - and opens the gate for my guitar to be chopped rhythmically by the input signal. Genius effect for expanding the guitar sounds and function. Sidechaining a noise gate is a typical studio-tool. I want to point this out because this is not an obvious feature for the ZUUL, despite Fortin amps says somewhat similar in their description of this pedal. SO this pedal is not only for Djent etc.. this is a genius piece of equipment for "modern" musicians looking for expanding what guitar can do. Or bass. Or vocal. Audio triggering audio. its beautiful
EarthQuaker Devices Dispatch Master V3

I wanted a small and simple pedal with both reverb and delay, and this is exactly what that is! I don't want to think too much about these effects when I play. I don't need tap-tempo and control over every aspect och the effects, just a reverb and delay that sound good that I can leave on. The reverb can sound huge or subtle. The delay can do slap-back or just some nice trails. Perfect for me! If you need to control every parameter then this pedal might not be for you, as the controls are fairly simple. It's exactly what I needed though. The only "negative" I can think of is the "on" light, is sooo bright....
Walrus Audio Monument V2 Tremolo
Based on 8 reviews
I have been using this pedal for almost 3 months and I am really happy with it. It is not noisy and sound quality is good even with extreme settings. I have a few Walrus Audio pedals and quality of these pedals are very good. They also look quite pretty on the pedal board. I haven't tried but you can also pair tap function with another Walrus Audio pedal and control two pedal with one tap switch. My favorites about features: Tap and division functions are very useful for live situations. It is also sweet to use division with expression pedal so you can change division without changing the tempo. I recommend it if you are looking for a versatile tremolo. Just one little negative side, the led is blindingly bright.
Walrus Audio ACS 1 Amp+Cab Simulator
Based on 7 reviews
I got this and a UAFX Dream '65. Long story short, I kept the UAFX one, and sent this back, but not because I think it's worse. Ok, I live in a flat, and even a 1W tube amp will make your neighbours hate you. So I started searching for alternatives. I got small amps, big amps with attenuation, gutiar amp headphones, you name it. ALL the amps are too loud in a flat, and headphones just are not the same. The only good ones I had were the Boss Wazar Air ones, but you HAVE to use the app, and it worked maybe 10% of the time. With a good app, those would be incredible for practice and doodling around the house. Enter Strymon with the Iridium, it got good reviews, everyone wanted one, so I started looking for a preamp, cab simulator, amp-in-a-box style pedal to get rid of my amps. I didn't...
Strymon Lex
Based on 7 reviews
Really wanted one of these for ages and finally splashed out on one a few weeks back. the box was a little dusty when it arrived but everything inside was brand new and un opened so straight away I was happy with what I found. power adapter a sticker and some little black rubber feet included basically no nonsense! ease to use with 4 simple knobs and 2 buttons. plug your leads in the back and off you go & the sounds are really great so even a thicko like me can dial in SRV blues tones with ease. I'm gigging it every week and so far its standing up to the road and sounding goooood! if your after one I'd highly recommend the strymon lex as its much smaller than its 2 main competitors and who needs massive pedals when your meant to be concentrating on the music not dancing around like...
MXR MC-401
Based on 7 reviews
I bought the MC-401 for my Bass pedal board, as I usually play clean bass sound and sometime add some colours i needed a very clean booster but... I was also looking for a buffer .. this pedal gave me all that i was looking in a sturdy well made pedal case. I run this pedal at the very end of my pedal board chain.... The sound in the output is very clean, when in true bypass its own buffer is very handy with long cable run (you can hear the difference bypassing this pedal). The only two things I would change in this pedal (but only for personal feel) is the foot-switch which is kind of too hard and you have to step on on it fully to turn on the unit.. some people like to go hard on top and the light is too bright for my eyes (I`ve placed a white tape on top so I can still see the...
