Dunlop Crybaby 95Q 4-stars Reviews
Good Wah Pedal
This is a good pedal and excellently built as you would come to expect from Dunlop Crybaby's. It performs well and compares to precious wah's from Dunlop.
A cool extra feature is the adjustable Q control which allows you to adjust the frequency sweep of the pedal.
It also has adjustable volume which can come in handy.
It will remain on my board for many years to come.
Great auto on/off Wah
I like playing Steve Vai stuff on guitar and wanted this instead of a Morley, because of its greater treble and its auto on/off (just move the pedal to activate it). Its true bypass, so no noise when off and gives a wide range wah.
Amp on Clean = terrific wah, really nice funk, blues expressive.
Amp on Clean + overdrive pedal = terrific wah, really nice funk, blues expressive, but a little hiss
Amp on Dirty + overdrive pedal = good wah, can get muddy, but still clear enough to achieve full depth wah scoops, with some hiss
I mention hiss, but that's just at high gain, and not noticed when playing in a band volume.
Oldie but goldie
Optical Wah pedals aren't everyone's cup of tea, however I've broken enough pedal boards in half to know that this is worth every penny. Not only is it easier on the bones, it's still great on the ear, Dunlop crybabies have the ability to really 'cry' and whine at the higher end of the EQ envelope, being able to adjust the Q is also a bonus for those of us who are a bit more perticular about where the curve occurs in a blistering solo. Additional volume and input signal button are also a massive bonus, this is a great sounding easy to use sturdy and reliable pedal. If I broke mine and it was beyond repair I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. Excellent pedal.
