Great pedal

Does what it needs to do and it's sturdy to last a lifetime.

Works like it should.

I've used one for about 9 years and all of a sudden it failed on me. I do not know what the exact problem was, when I opened it one of the metallic ribbons was broken off but I guess after nine years of extensive use onstage and in rehearsal some things can die. I needed a replacement quickly because the next gig was around the corner, so let's hope this unit will exceed it's former counterpart's lifespan.

Other than that, I've used it solely as an expression pedal to control my axe fx's wah and it does that without any problems. I've had to tighten the tension screw twice in those nine years but that is not really an issue and thumbs up for having that feature. It's sweep is perfect but beware if you let the tension too loose, when there is an over-enthousiastic bassist, it can vibrate to the toe position and leave you wondering why your sound is a bit weird :P

It is made of a metal housing so that part is very road worthy and it stays on the floor due to its weight and rubber sole allover the bottom plate.

Great exp pedal for your Kemper

Very good expression pedal, I use it with my Kemper for WAH and Whammy emulation, it's very accurate and simple to use.

The construction is rock solid, I recommend it if you need a good exp pedal for your Kemper and you don't want to spend a fortune.

Smoothest volume pedal ever

This is a good quality volume pedal by Dunlop. I use it as a volume pedal for my Kemper Head. It's very smooth and very easy to use.

Great choice!

I am using this pedal in the front of my signal chain for creating soundscapes in combination with delay / reverb and for controlling my playing dynamics.

Pros:

The pedal feels very sturdy (metal chassis) and it uses a band-drive instead of using a string like competing products, which also makes it more reliable. The friction is adjustable with a screw, so you can set it to your preference. I prefer a rather loose setting. The range of the pedal and the volume curve suits my needs.

Cons:

The pedal is a bit bulky and takes up quite a bit of space on my pedal board. However, the product is also available in a smaller form factor.

Great Expression Pedal

I use the Dunlop pedal as an Expression pedal for the Kemper Profiling Amp. Works perfectly for controlling volume and pitch (like a Whammy pedal) when set up as expression pedal with the Kemper.

Compared to my previous set up - tube amp with a (twice as expensive) boutique volume pedal on the pedalboard - the Dunlop is a huge step forward: adjustable resistance - it was easy to set it up for my personal preference. No mechanical noise when quickly moving to the toe-down position. Fantastic, sturdy build quality. Good looks. If I lost it, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Great pedal.

Great expression!

After a few expression pedals (Erne Ball, Mission, Boss etc.) I've finally found one that does the job properly.

Some are too big, others too small; some have string (which snaps), others have too many controls, which only complicate them...

The Dunlop DVP 3 is the right size and weight, it's tough and has a wide sweep. It does everything you need and nothing you don't.

I will be buying another to take advantage of the forthcoming Kemper "morph" update!

Worthy of note is that there are no rubber feet to hinder pedalboard attachment. Instead, the whole bottom plate is rubber-covered and ready for velcro.

Also useful is the location of ins/outs on the front.

Cons? Perhaps a tiny bit on the pricey side.

Finally.....

Finally an expression pedal of actual quality! I've tried quite a few expression pedals and I'm usually disappointed by them, but not with the DVP3. First thing to say is that the build quality is superb; built like a tank, and feels very sturdy under foot. The size also really impressed me; it's substantial enough not to feel lost under foot, but not as big as say, the boss, so it doesn't hog space on your board. It's also pretty low profile which is great, as I'd previously had issues closing the lid on my board due to the excessive depth of some other models. The motion is very smooth, no ledges to be found anywhere. Essentially, did everything I wanted of an expression pedal. Works very well as a volume pedal too, obviously!

Works great!

I have used the bigger version of this volume pedal before, it is an amazing piece of gear but it is huge an heavy. This is an update that i really like! Same smooth action and rugged construction quality as the dvp1 but both smaller and lighter!

I have not tried the expression thing but the volume side is really nice!
