Heavy feel, very sturdy

I've been using it for a few years, and will keep using it as it does the job.

BUT:

• The pedal feels heavy playing-wise, even at the lightest tension level on the side strings (I've even bought some more flexible strings to make the pedal feel a bit lighter, but to no avail).

• It's not practical to have to clamp it and un-clamp it with a drum key all the time (one useless extra step).

• There's Velcro below the pedal, so it holds still on a drum rug, but that also means that every time you don't place the pedal exactly how you want, you have to pull hard on the pedal to get it off the rug (often hitting other parts around such as the hi-hat stand), then put it back on, then again sometimes...

Of course the upside to all of this is that it is very sturdy and feels beefy.

Personally, I know my double pedal journey isn't over and this one wasn't my best match, but it may be so for you if you like to play hard on a pedal that you don't plan on moving much.

Just one fixed beater angle! "With felt beaters" - WRONG! IT's a PLASTIC! Not like on a picture, for the price good, BUT WRONG PICTURES. I want to know, is DW 7002 has same problem? I do not recommend.

Quality DW pedal but limited adjustability

If this pedal suits you then you have a great tool... If it doesn't quite fit, then it's over. The functionality of the pedal is limited. Centring the beaters on the drum head is also a challenge. Other 'feel' adjustments such as pedal height, beater distance etc. are not available. You can however adjust the spring tension to very light which does make the pedal fast if it suits your playing style.
