Great for warming up

Great product for warming up, or practicing at home. Solid build, had no issues, used for years.

Built like a tank

This practice kit is great! Drums are not my main instrument so I was looking for something small and practical to practice at home in the attic and this thing really does the job.

The pads feel great, not too bouncy. They're not completely silent of course, make about the same noise as a practice pad, maybe a bit louder.

The adjustability of this kit is allright, of course it has its limitations, being as compact as it is. I've bought a separate stand with an extra practice pad on it to function as a hi-hat substitute and that really helps in making this feel more like a real kit.

This kit is built like a tank, it can really take a beating and you will not have to worry about it breaking, or things shaking loose or anything, it's really DW heavy quality hardware!

I would say there's only one downside, and thats the kick pad. This one does not feel very good. It's quite loud and really rock hard. I wound a bunch of cloth around it to soften it and that immediately improved 100%.

For this price: 10 outta 10 would recommend!

Best Practice Pad

I've been wanting to get a set of drums for my own practices but a drumset is just too big and loud. This practice pad is a good investment if you wanna practice with the drum like setting without waking up your neighborhood. You can adjust it to the way you'll usually set up your drums and you're good to go..

The only cons is that it is still a practice pad. It will not have the same response as to when you're playing an acoustic drums.. So if you're just looking for something to practice your movement around the kit you may consider this.

A bit too loud

The pads are too loud for evening use. I had to screw in a 10 euro pad into the snare position to make it usable. Yes, the 10 euro pad is better than the pads provided. Pretty bad for such an expensive product.

A lot of possibilities

You can adjust the positions of all four pads in different ways, so you can practice all kinds of different things. It's a little small but hey, it's not a real kit.

There is space for improvement

No bigger issues with te product, allthough I would expect more flexibility for the price. You cannot replicate any drum kit you would want, because the boom arms are a bit short. For example, for me, the floor tom pad should be a bit further than it ts.

The quality could be better, but it does its job.

But overall I would still say it is a good investment for a drummer who lives in an apartment and doesn't have the space for a normal kit with dampeners on it.

It's a DW practice kit!

It's a premium product. It's sturdy, well-made and pretty quiet. My only issue with it is that I have to keep it right against the wall, otherwise it moves around too much. I am a hard hitter, though, so maybe that's why it's moving so much.

Comfy pad set which you must get

This DW practice set is literally the dream come true for those like me, who yet have no oportunity to shed or practice on drum set. This set really helps to keep the chops up, develop versatility, make your technique and coordination be consistent and achievable with more confidence.

Regarding the playability it's clear, easy and pads rebound with no problem. Good for working on speed and endurance.

Set has good stand which all of the pipes ar connected to it, manages to hold the balance still no matter in what position you adjust your pads.

I really love that this set has practice pad for pedals as well which makes youre practice more efficient and even between feet and hands.

If you are looking for a quiet practice with this set, make sure to get a carpet or drum mat which absorbs all the vibration which comes from hitting the pads - really hepful!

Saving money on this set was worth it and I'm not even looking back if I should have got other pad set instead. If you are looking for qualities that I stated in this review, then save some money and get this pad without any hesitation!

Great practice tool

Bought to practice in a small space with no noise. Makes no more noise than using a practice pad and stomping your feet. Best used downstairs than on the first floor due to the pedal. Very solid build quality.

Excellent product. Only 1 drawback

It's an excellent practice set. Very portable and very quick to setup with all the memory locks. It's extremely sturdy and quite quiet.

The only issue is that it does not include anything for your hi-hat foot. It's fine if you have a double pedal (which I don't), or maybe a futz for your hihat, but it's a small omission, and I'm probably just nit-picking.

The practice kit is small and quiet enough to take anywhere and be used as a valid practice kit.

The price is a little much for what it really is, and one of the major issues I have is that they sell the bag to carry it all separate, slightly ironic considering it is sold as a "Go Anywhere" kit, I honestly feel the travel bag should be included.

I was also finding issues with stopping the base section from coming lose and moving away from the pedal a few times.

Decent quality kit, but the price and non inclusion of the bag brings it down for me.

The pros of the kit are that it sounds good to play, most practice kits have no real sound to them were as each pad has a slightly different pitch and pleasing sound, it isn't hard and loud, the feel is great, although the bass drum pad is slightly harder that I thought it would be.

Practice without annoying your neighbours

I played drums semi-professionally for about twenty years and never had practice pads. I practiced by waving my arms around like a loon or tapping on furniture and annoying my friends and family. Well now I feel silly. This practice kit is a revelation. It has four adjustable pads and a bass drum pad on the stem, all mounted on a sturdy hardware stand. You can attach your own bass drum pedal and practice your licks to your heart's content with surprisingly little noise. It really is brilliant and my playing is improving already. Highly recommended!

Great Value for quiet practice

Overall this is a great practice tool it is well made reasonably lightweight and portable. It comes with 5 pads 2x 8" and 2x 10" plus the bass drum pad.The hieght is approx 36" and the two section stand allows for adequate height adjustment for most. the pads are connected via an extended L rod and clamp which attaches to the main stand easily and has the added feature of a DW locking clamp to ensure you can easily take it down and set it up exactly the same way each pad also has a locking plate to ensure it does not move once you get it where you want it . All the adjustments are made via a standard square headed bolt using the supplied heavy duty drum key. The pads maybe a little too bouncy for some but i think you have to remember this is not a drum kit but a practice tool and it serves that purpose very well allowing for hours of quiet practice that wont annoy the neighbors .all at a very reasonable price. There certainly is nothing else on the market which compares in my opinion.
