Dynaudio BM5 MKIII 5-stars Reviews
Good business! It can be used as a monitor speaker or FIHI!!!
very good monitors
I bought, used and liked it very much, good sound, fast delivery, in short, super
Dynaudio BM5 MKIII
Work great. Clear, defined and overall impressed. They do, however, have a slight hiss while they are on, this apparently is normal - not ideal, but unless totally silent, no worries
fantastic set of monitors
I mostly work in orchestral music, and having seen that these monitors have been used by the likes of BBC and spitfire studios, I decided to go with them. I am very satisfied by the quality of these monitors.
Pros:
Good neutral sound. I had to place them close to the back wall so the low end is a bit accentuated on their default setting. However I managed to to get them close to perfectly neutral just using their inbuilt analog room filters. Did the last fine tuning of around +/- 2 db by using sonarworks.
Cons:
The auto standby feature does not work very well if you use the monitors at very low levels for everyday use. Sometimes the monitors will automatically go in standby if you are using them at low volume. However this doesn't bother me much, as I just turned off the auto standby and all is good.
Would definitely recommend!
Great Monitors at a good price
Have owned HS8, and JBL 305. tried the Adam a7 many times
These are in another league when compared to the Yamaha and JBL. Amazing stereo field and bass.
I like the way these sound more than the Adams
For this price these monitors are a bargain
Great sound quality - great price
Very nice and detailed sound, good stereo, flat linear sound. Quiet without signal, no noise. Strange xlr female connector, but it works normally. Im satisfied. Really recommend!
Great speakers
After a lot of years and doubting what to buy next, I upgraded my older KRK Rockit G2 speakers for the Dynaudio ones.
I'm very happy with them, they sound very revealing and transparant with good bass and treble response, much more transparant than my older speakers which now sound rather shallow and dull.
If you are hesitating: don't, just buy them.
Excellent!
Well manufactured speakers, and amazing sound.
Would recommend!
Excellent monitors for mixing and also for just listening music
Love these monitors. Nice and balanced frequency response, tight and precise bass. The sound is warm and smooth and with enough depth. The only thing I miss sometimes is the volume knob on the speakers.
top quality!!!!!!
best monitors iv'e owned yet!!!! amazing sound and cool features! i relly recommend thoughs !
no cons !
Wonderful
Wonderful monitor for my home studio,
Best monitors in this price range.
I write electronic music and before I stumbled upon these monitors I thought of buying Adams AX or maybe Yamaha HS (as I wanted to save some money).
I want to say that these monitors are incredible for this price. The bass is tight and doesn't rumble too much even in my not so well acoustic treated room. The whole mix translates really well, mids and highs are clear enough, even though the last one seemed to be a little bit dull, so I boosted hi freq on the rare panel. Also, need to notice that monitors are compact and don't take too much place.
Please be aware that these monitors are no longer shipped with ISO acoustics stands, unfortunately.
good stuff
good stuff !i like it very much!
Best sound for the money
You can't go wrong with Dynaudio BM5 MKIII. The sound is incredible and the stereo image is awesome.
I listened a lot of monitors, from Yamaha to Genelec but I didn't like them for everyday use. The sound from Dynaudio is different, it is very punchy and thick even at low volume.
The sweet spot for them is very small. The sound changes very quick if I move left - right.
They are the best at this price. Go for them!
Great Studio Monitors
I use the Dynaudio BM5 mkIII as a budding composer with virtual instruments. They help me tremendously reduce ear fatigue and let me get an accurate view of my music. They are very versatile with built-in eq options and instructions to get a flat response even in an imperfect room. I find the sound to be very clear, even in the low frequencies. The price is very low for how good the product is, I don't think it's possible to get better value than this. There may be better studio monitors than these, but not at this quality/price ratio. They are also universal power so they can be used in North America and Europe equally (though you may need a different power cord than the one provided). The only thing I would do to improve them is include a North American power cord with the GB and European ones provided.
Overall GREAT product with tremendous value !
STOP WASTING YOUR TIMEAND GET A PAIR OF DYNAUDIOS
IVE HEARD AND OWNED A GOOD DEAL OF MONITORS OVER YEARS AND THESE ARE GREAT TOOLS IF YOU CANT MIX WITH THESE BETTER BUY A NINTENDO OR SOMRTHINGAND USE YOURE SPARE TIME ON OTHER STUFFTHAT ISNT MUSIC
Get these...highly recommended
I compared JBL and HS7s with these in my control room.
JBL nice for HiFi type listening I suppose
HS7 Very good however the BM5's showed up the Yamahas flaws
The BM5s have a lovely even frequency response with plenty of depth and clarity. They sound good at very low levels, medium level listening and very loud listening. So you can monitor with these at quite low levels, meaning your ears don't get fatigued too quickly.
If you can afford the extra $$$ get these, your monitors and room acoustics are the most important piece of the Jigsaw..
Highly recommended.
Good review here:
Life-changing purchase
Dynaudio changed the way I look at studio monitors.
I use these BM5 MKIII in my personal studio where I write and produce songs and media-related music.
I can't way a word against them they're just so clear and versatile.
The 7" woofer is the perfect size for a lot of rooms, in my opinion. They have tight lows and the soft-dome tweeter delivers crystal-clear highs.
I bring them with my even when I have to set-up a mobile studio and I can't rely only on headphones.
Their stereo image is amazing, too!
Really good quality, and all frequencies is clear. Recommend.
