A classic for a reason

The big muff fuzz sound is a well known classic, loud and distorted without being harsh. This unit is a bit smaller than the original and the controls and construction quality feel a bit flimsy

True to the classic

To clarify, this pedal is not subtle. It's a unique and heavy fuzz, which more or less takes over your tone with little regard to the amp or guitar you are using. This being said, it's amazing at what it does - especially for the price. The "little" version is very close to the original Big Muff. Definitely worth it for the convenience.

Small minus for the stiff and clicky foot switch.

A classic

This is a great pedal to get that classic muff tone. I don't always keep it on my pedal board as its not a sound I need that often, but when I do, this is my preferred pedal to get it. I think it's one of those pedals everyone should have!

Nice fuzz sounds & saturated sustain

I use the Little Big Muff Pi for 2 reasons mainly, first one being, I needed a warm fuzz sound for recording riffs and the second reason being sustain for lead playing since my pickup output is somewhat weak on the e and b strings. It does both of these jobs for me very well.

Some other things i noticed: The casing is very sturdy, the controls are very intuitive and can blend some crazy sounds, depending on what you dial in the pedal can create crazy loud feedback but just keeping it away from the amp fixies that issue.

Heavy distortion

This is the first distortion pedal I've used and I'm starting to love it more and more every time I try it. The distortion is pretty heavy and muddy and even on lowest settings it's very fuzzy and dirty. The distortion is excellent for heavy rhythm playing - it's very dirty but has a good attack to it. I find it a bit too heavy for lead playing, although it works with a bit of tweaking on the tone and sustain. Power chords roar with it and the metal housing feels like it can take beating. The controls can give you a few options in tone but one should keep in mind that even with sustain turned down it's still pretty muddy.

Pros:

built like a tank

brilliant for heavy rhythm playing/power chords

massive sound

Cons:

a bit too much for lead playing

doesn't "roll off" at lower settings/not very dynamically responsive (very muddy even when sustain and guitar volume are turned down)

Ol timer still got it

U know what you're getting, features and sound lives up to expectations. Build quality seems OK. I've had mine only a month or so, no problems so far.

It's a muff

It's a big muff. You need this.

They can get quite noisy when you're not playing, which can be a little annoying, but they sound great. Can't go wrong with it. Get one now!

Lots of character

This was the first single-effect pedal for my electric guitar I purchased 3 years ago, and it still is on my pedalboard, getting much use.

Let me first point out a downside - there is a clicking sound in the amp, when you use the footswitch. Otherwise, it is a fine little pedal. Its character is somewhere between fuzz and distortion, and this changes depending on the pickup you use (neck or bridge) and the position of the tone knob. The sound is very juicy and full, and the pedal is usable and great-sounding with all the different types of guitars, both humbuckers and single coils. The Little Big Muff would benefit from a separate low/high control, though.

The case is very solid, and surprisingly the pedal came with a battery inside, which is a pleasant bonus (you do not know that before you open the casing though).

A great purchase all in all, never had a single regret.

The beast in a small package

Exactly like the big brother in sound but in a more convenient case.

Wow

This pedal means business. It growls and fuzzes and feels very powerful, don't be confused with the "Little" tag! Even though it's a beast it does have a really warm sound if you mess about a bit. Recommend to anyone on the fuzzy side of grunge.
