The POG2 is a great improvement over the POG and Micro POG, you get more features, but just enough so it doesn't go into the HOG territory.

Works great with pretty much everything as do most of the EHX boxes, try it out with a cello or violin, make your guitar sound like a bass or an organ.

Note tracking is really good and the 8 footswitchable presets make it easier to jump from sound to sound with ease. Another great stompbox from ElectroHarmonix.

A lot of uses within one box

Really great solution for a lot of uses. The limit is in your head only. With this pedal, coupled with all of your other fxs, you can achieve a very wide palette of sounds. It takes some time to dial in with usable and good sounding sounds, but once you get your sounds you can memorize them as presets, which is priceless. If you really like these kind of fxs, I guess you can switch between more presets easily and fast while playing a song. I use it mostly in studio to achieve the exact sounds that I want to record, though. The box is well built, I would have only added lights in the faders for live applications. Although, probably it won't be easy and fast to adjust levels to create new sounds in a live situation, to that feature is not so important anyway....

I suggest to google for some presets used by people that already dialed in with this box for long time, could save you some hours of craziness. Nice pedal, just a little bit overpriced in my opinion. But worth the effort if you're a fan of pitch/octave fxs.

Great fun!!

Tested on a bass, and very good tracking, and fast enough to play blistering riffs.

Not very polyphonic though, and most harmonies will sound "autotuned".

If you're looking for a synth-sound to solo on bass with, you will be pleased. I use it together with a delay and a Qtron for maximum options. Can also be used as a plain octaver..

Awesome pedal!

I've used this for over six months now and it's awesome. It delivers through the whole spectrum and follows the guitar well. I haven't figured out all the features yet, since I'm to lazy to read the manual, but you can do a lot of interesting stuff. I used it a lot during the making of our latest record and it's a real inspiration source. Go for it!

The perfect octave pedal

I was debating whether to get this or the Micro Pog. -1 octave with great tracking is what I really wanted, but in the end, the extra sonic capabilities of the Pog 2, plus the ability to save presets, swung me in this direction. And I'm sure glad I did. I have preset number 1 set at dry tone plus -1 octave, and everything else turned off. This is the initial sound I was looking for a pedal like this for. But then I have the rest of the presets saved with EHX's suggested sounds for bass, cello, organ, 12 string etc. It also mixes well with other pedals for some pretty cool sounds - a bit of delay and reverb, for instance. Super cool pedal. The tracking has been spot on, bypass is clean as a whistle.

Great range

It takes a bit of experimentation to get the sounds I wanted but it really does add an edge. Playing in a three piece, I was looking for something to bring the clean elements to life and this does exactly that.
