Aby switch pedal

Had expensive switch unit failing like the Radial switchbone. This one cheap and perfect

A minor miracle

This small pedal may change how you approach your sound on either bass or on guitar. Given that there are two outputs and an either / or / altogether option, rigging this up could not be more fun. It's simple, easy to use and built like a tank,

Great

Does what it should and doesn't even need a battery. Perfect!

It perfectly does what it is supposed to.

Works fine, but...

It works fine and as advertised, however the two outputs aren't fully isolated; they tend to bleed audio into each other.

Reliable and Functional

This is exactly what a utility pedal should be like. It is reliable and functional. I use it to switch between effects. Line A goes into my multi effects board, and Line B goes through my stomp boxes. Both of which finally go into the same amp. This lets me set a loop on one of the lines, and play over it on the other.

There are few disadvantages to having such a pedal, except

perhaps the space required.

The advantages are those, outlined above.

The Value for money is very good, and I would not be without one now.

Great price-performance item

Use

I use this as a three way switch system to 2 guitar amps (A and the tuner outputs) and one bass amp (B output).

Pros:

The extra tuner output works well if you want to connect a third amp.

Relatively small size.

Good price compared to other products.

Good signal from all of the outputs.

Cons:

If a channel is switched off, there is still a weak, almost unnoticable signal that is going through (not sure if it is common for theres ones, but I have noticed the same behavior on a Fender ABY switch too).

Conclusion:

I would recommend this as a cheap alternative if there is a need for one guitar in - three amps out setup. The tuner output can be managed with the tuner pedal since it can not be turned off.

1 word: AWESOME!!!

I play in a duo/alternative rock band. Bought this so split my guitar to two amps my normal guitar amp with out A then to a Bass amp with out B. It works like a charm! I can choose to have both amps running at the same time or one at a time. Very cool solid pedal. I love Electro Harmonix gear. Came with a cool sticker too.

Quality switch

I use this for live gigs when using two amps, makes life a lot easier. The LED's make it very clear to what amps are active. Very good product.

Great pedal

I am using this to send my guitar signal to two different amps . I was looking for something that lets me be do (A or B), (A+B or A), (A+B or B) and Switchblade was just perfect! Very solid construction, with different led colours A and B signals. Nice option the extra output to connect to a tuner!

EXH - quality as you would expect

Bought this for a variety of purposes, to switch between bass amps in one rig setup - and also for switching between a guitar and a harmonica mic into a valve amp in another setup.

Does both these jobs brilliantly. Really simple to use pedal, built like a tank and the lights make it really easy to know what you are doing with it.

Essential

If you have a big board, like to experiment or just a guitarist who uses more than the one amp then you'd be crazy not to have one of these 10/10

Efficient product

It clearly does what it's supposed to do at a good price point.

Simple packaging.

No transformer sadly, and the unit requires a power source to light the indicator leds.

Is a very good piece of gear

I use it to switch between the two channels of my Fender 68 Custom Deluxe Reverb amp.

I tested it to see if there is bleeding between channels and there was none. For example i turned channel A on in the switchblade but on the amp I put channel's A volume at 0 and channel's B volume at 8-9 and there was no sound coming from the amp.

Pros

price, works as expected, i liked the switching options (A or B or A&B), size, led displays.

Cons

None so far.

mine works flawlessly and seems to be very well built

mine works like charm, no bleeding/unwanted noises.

and one of the most clevar/compact design for this kind of pedal, and i have had a few (radial, rolls, boutique..)

some of my prevous pedals failed, this still works perfectly

Superb from Electro Harmonix

Very pleased with this pedal, sturdy design and build, a great addition to my pedal board. In particular, the feature to have A+B was the reason I bought this. Nice clean sound through it, simple to use, small enough to fit on my board without too much hassle. Switches are decently spaced too.

switchblade on bass

Bought recently ,trying the royal blood thing out ,having gone from 4 to 3 piece rock/pop band needed extra fill ,using the switchblade to go from clean to dirty or using both at the same time , the switchblade works great &its easy to use

Does what it says on the tin

These pedals are real life savers if you have some pedals that are not true bypass. The ability to switch between separate effects chains is so useful and space saving on a limited budget. These can be used in both direction (1 in to 2 outs or 2 ins to 1 out) and are completely passive. However, a battery or 9V DC supply can be used to light the LEDs which make using the pedal much easier.

Great switch pedal!

Very sturdy well built unit. I purchased the switchblade as i wanted to use 2 amps when gigging and it does the job perfectly to switch between the two. It is also a small compact unit so hasn't taken up much room in my pedal board. Overall it is a great product and great value for money. In terms of features I wouldn't expect a switch pedal to have anything else (the tuner output is handy if you want to keep a tuner out of you loop but I don't really find it necessary)
