Elixir Nanoweb Medium Acoustic Reviews
Additional power for dreadnought
I am fond of Elixirs, and 13-56 scale adds power to the acoustic sound.
Great strings for acoustic guitar!
I've tried other brands of strings for my acoustic guitars but I keep coming back to Elixir. They sound great for a long time and they feel great for a long time.
Fantastic strings
I love these Elixir strings on my Taylor 110e. These guitars come new with Elixir strings and I think it's a great choice. They are obviously pretty expensive but well worth the price. Longevity is amazing, as well the overall tone and feel. Recommend these!
Great endurance
When my health is good play a couple of hours per days.
When it's not, several weeks can pass and they remain unused.
Either way the tone stays bright and strong with any sign of corrosion taking months as opposed to days with other brands.
Like most strings they need a "run in" period, but after a week or so the tone settles..and stays
Expensive, but good.
I've tried many other brands: Dunlop, D'addario, GHS, Martin, Fender, Cleartone, Dean Markley, Yamaha, Framus. And to me Elixir is the best, not because they really last much longer (for me it's like a bonus), but mainly because of their quality and consistency. They have some coloration in higher frequency spectrum (not really noticeable in Nanoweb series and practically not existent in Optiweb ones), but I like it, it gives them somewhat unique sound footprint. So big thumbs-up from me.
Great strings
These strings sound great and last forever.
Always good
I like elixirs, they are my favorite acoustic strings. I tried the mediums to see if I could get a fuller sound from my Gretsch Rancher, but the 13 is a bit too heavy for me so it's back to the light med (12-56). They last ages.
Nice
I keep trying other strings to find that sound that I crave for without paying too much.
However after 15 years of playing I still haven't found any better ones than these. The sound you get from them is so much better and they totally out last the others that I have tried. The only down side is of course they could be cheaper.
Love these strings
Best strings for western acoustic guitars around. Worth the investment. Last 3 to 4 times longer than other brands. Highly recommended!
Elixirs are elixirs!
What else is there to say about these strings?
Great guitar strings
Elixir strings really are wonderful strings. I have been playing acoustic guitar for over fifty years and I have found that Elixirs really do keep their sparkle for a lot longer than most other strings but I think it depends on the guitar you are playing. I like to change my strings often when I'm gigging so I tend to use D'addario mediums on my gigging guitar. I have two other guitars for home use and I am happy to use Elixirs on them.
To summarise: well worth the money but only if you do not change your strings often
worth paying extra for
Ive used elixir strings in various sizes on everything from my reso to my banjo, electric and acoustic. They are pricier than most other strings but they pay you back in longevity and less hassle having to restring as often. highly recommended
Perfect stuff, great service
Use: acc guitar Ibanex
Pros. These Elixir strings are great. Sound remains great for many months. And way less snapping of the strings (which is super important for me).
No cons.
Great string
Bit more expensive than normal but the coating means that soundwise they last for ages.
Especially good if like me you sweat a lot and kill the tone of strings really quickly.
Best I've ever used
These strings outlive and out perform any competitor by a mile! They're the best strings I have ever used!!
Very nice strings
these particular strings have become my favorites.
They are a bit expensive, but I think that they're worth it because of the sound and the time you save in changing strings (these last a pretty long time so you won't need to change them that often).
Elixir also has some phosphor bronze strings, but I think that these are better. Just my honest opinion!
Elixir is the only choice
I bought these to use with a Gretsch resonator with a round neck. 13 gauge seems to work nicely for this, for both fret and slide styles. Tone and colour that you expect from Elixir, they are beautifully clear and sound great for months.
Best strings out there
Really.
These are the best. I tried almost all of them folr my acoustics, no issues to report, just satisfaction. Epic tone, really easy to bend,
nice and shiny, great slick sound when sliding. Just perfect. It'll bring out the best of your grandpa's old guitar, and your brand new Guild as well. I'll never buy any other brand ever. Price worths every cent.
Best strings going :)
Last longer, sound better, guitar is way more in toned with them on it compared to every other string...
Elixir Nanoweb Medium Acoustic
I'm not an accomplished guitarist by any means, but these strings made a noticeable difference to my playing, mostly due to the ease at which the fingers slide across the strings. The sound is clean and bright, and stays so for ages.
