Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light Reviews
Secial strinks!!
I used in my Telecaster. The Elixir has best sound and quality ,and they dont left dirty your hands after playing!!!
Great, long lasting strings
These strings last me about 3 months without tone loss, and up to a year being still usable - zero rust all the way through!
No words. Its classic.
Best strings for stratocaster.
Taylor can't be wrong...
I use them on my Taylor 310 for studio recording only. I have a major issue with strings corrosion and Elixirs solved it... Taylor guitars use them as their stock strings. They can't be wrong... I tried other strings on my acoustic but i think they are the best. Full low and low mid tone and great hi mid and hi... All sparkling and for a long time... I change strings every 4-5 months.
My favourite strings
I have tried many strings but I haven't found anything that is so comfortable and long lasting as these, I love Elixir..!
sound fades away quick
I used to buy these for the life lenght, but truth be told the sound is not that great, you quickly get a shady sound I don't like, or just can't stand anymore. Still if what you care more about is budget, get these because they'll last forever and save you some serious bucks compared others where the strings will start to rust fast.
Amazing strings
Found Elixir around 10 years ago after playing Ernie Balls all my life, and know I don't even know any other string company.
Elixir
Great tone and smooth feel!
Very good and long lasting strings
This strings are "what it says on the tip", although they are pretty expensive.
Great guitar strings
I haven't played a lot of different strings (some ernie ball regular slinkies and these), but these are great. The tone is great and they never rust, making them last a lot longer. After about 2 months of daily practice, it's probably time to change them already, since the part of the string where you pick them with your plectrum, the nano coating starts to come off and string gets a bit fluffy there.
All in all, I would recommend them.
Long lasting tone
Been using Elixir strings for years and they're the more consistent strings tonewise.
Very durable and I like the tone.
Elixir simply the best
Bought to make me a mandoline set strings of custom thickness strings.
The sound is just what I like.
very good string
I was very surprised with those strings, i used elixirs years back and didn't like coating, since then they improved big time and Their Optiweb series are even better from my opinion, great sound, and they really last you loooooong.
Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light
Good old elixir quality, using these with my les paul.
Most soft strings ever
They are really soft. And its great for light types of music.
As an any elixir string they sound great for really long time
I like them a lot
They stay in tune, they last for over a year (ok I do wipe them well after playing) and they have a nice tone. The proce is not proportionally high, due to their long life. I use them almost exclusively for well over a decade. Every time I buy a cheaper set, just for the test, I regret it after 2-3 months max.
Easy
So easy to play with these, they have no string noise whatsoever when sliding.
The sound is very good. Great Sustain. I highly recommend these.
A bit pricey but worth it.
Yet another good Elixir string set
This set came to together with another Elixir set for baritone guitar - Elixir Nanoweb Baritone. Classic gauge 9-46 with signature Elixir brightness perfectly works on Strat-, Tele- or any other single coil type of guitars adding even more twang to your clean tone. This is first thing I enjoyed in this strings set.
The second surprise is crunch and drive effect - this set brings quite balanced tone. Not perfectly, but it is good to have a bit extra presence and pronunciation. In the mix or in live band situations you will be easily heard.
Same as set for baritone - these strings lives a long time. To be honest I find more profitably to get this set for its price than buy two sets of different strings. I really like how long they last. You may sacrifice something that you like in other strings tone but if you want to put one set that could live a long time - you probably should go with this Nanoweb series.
Signature Elixir coating also reduces a bit extra finger noise that fingers produce changing position on a fretboard.
Overall string quality is superb they hold tension very well during whole their life and no any flabbiness is noticeable even in drop-tuning moments. The one more thing I?ve noticed is that you do not need a lot of time to wait them to stretch when put new set on guitar. They don?t lose their tension so much at the beginning as well. These are put?n?play strings, I?d say.
Great Strings
Ive been using elixir strings for years now and I believe that they are the best strings out there.
I put these strings on my Ibanez, which has a floating tremolo system and these strings were perfect for it. They were very good for playing lead, but possibly a tad too light for playing rhythm.
Perfect strings for Fender scale lengths
I use these strings on all of my 25.5" scale length guitars. This includes Harley Benton Strats, Teles and Jazzmasters.
They give enough slinkyness on the high strings to bend easily and enough tautness on the low strings to stay intonated and in-tune down to Drop D tuning.
The coating means I only have to change strings once a year and they are great for recording as they maintain a consistent tone throughout.
I've tried other big brands' coated strings and in my experience they never have the clarity or longevity of Elixers.
I have found you can get a tad more fret buzz as the strings remain live for so long (normal strings seem to settle down after a few hours).
I've used around 10 sets of these and only had one string break during that time.
Highly recommended!
