Best strings i ever used

I love this set of strings for two reasons: they sound great the moment you put them on, and they last a lot. The price tag sure is high but it pays of as the strings do not get rusty easily (i play a lot and they are completely useable after 6 months of use). Also, some strings do not sound nice for the first few days after you put them on, but Elixir always sound nice. They are my favourite set of strings.

A tone that lasts

I was very pleased the first time that I bought these. Comfortable tension so it's easy to play and that new string tone is of course the best part about these strings. Even when playing everyday the strings still felt new and sounded like new. Usually with new strings that tone wears off after just one day but Elixir strings maintained that tone for a much longer period of time. When I bought a bass which had Elixir strings on it, (I played it for only about 3 hours a week) and the strings still sounded new after like two months or more.

Definitely worth buying because the strings sound and feel new for a much longer time therefore they don't even need to be changed that frequently so it's not just the tone durability but you can also save some money from not buying new strings that frequently.

Great set of strings

I have fitted Elixir strings to all of my acoustic strings. They last forever, retain excellent tone and do not tarnish quickly like other strings. They are well worth the extra in price.

I prefer to use these on jumbo, dreadnaught, 000 size but maybe not suited to smaller parlour guitars

Hmmmmm

I'm not sure about these to be honest. The sound seems a little dull for my tastes. I much prefer the Blue Steel ones from Dean Markley. They seem to last longer

Best strings ever IMO

As the title says, these the best strings i have ever tried. They last INCREDIBLY long and still sound great. They also tend to break far less then any other brand i have tried.

Elixers

The best strings around. I would never play anything else. They stay clean longer than any other strings I've played. Beautiful bright and clear sound. Well worth the extra few quid.

Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light

I have been using Elixirs for a few years now and would not go back to using any other brand. They are consistently of top quality and do last much longer (hard to say exactly, but the 3-5 times estimate is about right). With normal strings I would have to change them after a gig, but no need with the elixirs. Highly recommended!

Long lasting strings

Even these strings are a lot more expensive compared to strings made by other companies, they're definitely worth it. I used to play with several string brands on my guitar, but i was always confronted with the same problem. Probably caused by the aggressive sweat of my hands. The strings turned dark and rusty. The strings started to sound dull and thin. So i often had to change them after 1 or 2 weeks.

I found the perfect solution in strings by Elixir. These strings keep sounding bright and nice even after weeks of playing.

If i play no gigs for quite a long time, these strings are perfect. I only switch to other brands for gigs and recordings from time to time.

Exlir Nanoweb Custom Light

Man, I love these Elixir strings. Especially this 009 - 046 custom set. I use them on all of my guitars and feel really comfortable with them.

I'm a vintage guy and was used to pure nickel strings by Ernie Ball or Gibson. A friend of mine had shown me these Elixir strings and at first I was a bit sceptical because of the coating around the strings. But all my worries were gone when I hit some chords with my SG into my Marshall for the first time. The sound is fat and clear. Every note has a really nice top end on it and this brilliance lasts extremely long. I have to change these strings maybe after four to five months and the best thing is: even after this long period, they don't feel dull or something. They play like on the first day. I don't need any GHS Fast Fret anylonger.

You will probably notice that Elixirs are a bit kinda "slippery" under your fingers in the first moment. You have to get used to it but then it makes it really easy to slide on your fretboard. Even when it's hot onstage and your fingers are sweaty.

I have found my favourite strings with Elixirs and don't need to experiment with other brands anylonger because their perfect.

Elixir nanoweb custom light

Great strings with a great long lasting tone, I personally wouldn't use any other strings, I used Ernie ball super slinky for years but found myself changing them every three to four gigs, with these Elixirs I get at least thirty gigs from one set, definately the best strings money can buy

First choice for strings

Elixir are always my first choice for strings due to their long life. The tone is excellent, with these nanowebs not dulling the brightness like some other coated strings.

Great strings!

Last longer, sound good and feel good. What more could you want from strings :-)

I tried different brands but this is the winner. I have been using these for years and I am really satisfied. Highly recommended!

Great guitar strings

These strings, though more costly than most, are a great choice, they last 3 or 4 times as long as conventional strings.

Elixir nanoweb light

I think these strings are a very good purchase. More expensive than regular strings but as they last much longer I think its worth spending extra to have to change my strings less (I hate restringing guitars; very tedious). Due to the coating they are very very smooth to play and comfortable giving me what feels like an extra boost of speed and control when sliding, etc. The custom light gauge is very comfortable - why go for heavier more cumbersome strings when the amp can do the tonal work? These light strings are very nice and easy to bend and vibrato.

Best string ever, no question about it!

I've put my Elixirs onto my guitars roughly a year ago. Still sounds perfect! Never buy anything else from now on!

Great strings

I normally use Ernie Ball strings, Super Slinkys, and still do to be honest. I tried out these strings for a change, and while I found them to be of a very high quality, they didn't quite top the EBs for feel. For me, anyway.

Perfect sound

Hello at all,

I just wanted to give you a quick review about the Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light Strings, I bought them in different gauges (09, 10) and since a few months I play them on all my guitars!

I want to mention the good sound quality of these strings, they sound very nice and clear without sounding to light, they´ve got a very good bottom range sound.

Remember strings are a personal preference, so its difficult to make a full review. But if your preference are 10s I would certainly recomend these to any guitarist (beginer or advanced).

In my opinion you can´t go wrong with these strings, I like them very much and will order them again .

Smooth

Not only does the coating on the strings make them go much longer before rusting, they're also silkier, which means less friction and less damage to your fingers too if you slide a lot (once I cut into my fingertip, because I had rusty strings).

Definitely an investment, instead of buying several ordinary strings, I buy one of these.

love them

Consistent, Easy on the fingers, Great Tone, Long lasting, Long Life, Strong! The Elixirs manage to sound great and last a long time, probably double or triple the life of a regular set of acoustic strings- great product!
