Elixier Nanoweb Light

Hello at all,

I just wanted to give you a quick review about the Elixier Nanoweb Light Strings, I bought them in different gauges (09, 10) and since a few months I play them on all my guitars !

First of all I want to mention the good sound quality of these strings, they sound very nice and clear without sounding to light, they´ve got a good bottom range sound.

But now to the most amazing fact about these strings, these are the most durable strings I know, I play them like 3 to 5 months on my guitar without feeling that they are getting worse, they lose a bit of their clear sound after a while but they still sound good !

In my opinion you can´t go wrong with these strings, I like them very much and will order them again.

Elixir Nanoweb Light? Yes!

I bought the Elixir Nanoweb Light for my Gibson Les Pauls Studio. Significant brilliance and durability characterize these strings. I would buy this set again and again. They are definitly worth their price!

Advise you to buy these strings. Use them in a reasonable guitar and I can get a great sound. Far beyond what expected. I love the tone. Are durable and long lasting.Nanoweb coating permits strings with the feel, bright tone, and punch of traditional strings.

They actually last longer!

Great value since they actually lsst longer than uncoated strings. I rarely break strings unless they are old and wiping off the strings after use really helps too.

Best!

What can you say?

I'm a guitar teacher, playing guitar for about 5-6 hours a day.

This is the only strings for me!

Good longlife strings

Holy Grail for strings having long lifespan

Guys, think about you have 10 guitars, and you have to re-string them each month. I have to do it. It costs a lot of money (50 EUR/month) plus a lot of time. After reading good reviews about Elixirs I gave them a try. My experiences:

- high freq content of the sound will remain even after 6 month

- they are not breaking earlier than any other strings

- you have to take care of your instrument to keep these strings as long alive as can. I made a trial: the strings of one guitar were cleaned by clothes after 1 hour playing, an other was not. After 2 month the uncleaned strings started to become rusty, the cleaned string remained as fresh strings. So, use that cloth frequently!

Good!

Nothing special to say...

They are good strings, and last longer than others.

Try it!

The Best!

I now only ever use Elixirs on all my guitars, Electrics and Acoustics. They seem to last for ever and will outlast many other strings several times over if cared for. They are worth the money because they outlast standard strings whilst keeping a crisp tone. The sound quality and tuning throughout the length of string is spot-on. Try them once and you'll be hooked!

my personal favorites

I've been using Elixir Nanowebs almost exclusively for years now. I like how they sound and feel. They are bright and stay "fresh" for a very long time. Months and months. I even like the feel of the coating under the fingers - it feels like the strings are lubricated. At first it was wierd, but now regular (non-coated) strings feel wierd. The only two complaints - it seems to me that high E breaks more often than it used to with the regular strings (but maybe my strumming changed over the years so I can't be sure). The other thing is - the coating starts chipping or peeling off after a while in the place you hit the strings with a pick. It's not a big deal as it doesn't affect the sound and it can barely be seen, but it's there. Just trying to be objective.

Good Strings

Very good sound, but not the best. Very good quality and long life strings!

Brilliant!

These strings produce less finger noise when you slide across them than the uncoated ones and they really last much longer. You need to remember, however, that they're protected from corrosion by a very fine layer of coating which can be easily damaged by doing pick scrapes or simply wiping the strings with a rough cloth. If you avoid those things, they should last you a couple of months. Sure, they are slightly more expensive than most uncoated strings but in the end, the price difference pays off because you don't need to replace them as often as you would replace your regular strings. Money well spent.
