Elixir Nanoweb Custom Light Phosphor Reviews
Fantastic strings for all styles
These have been my go to strings for quite a while now. They have a nice clean and bright tone and are super comfortable to play. I have also found these to be much more durable and stable than other strings I have tried in the past. Definitely worth the extra money and would recommend them to all acoustic players.
Perfect strings
The phosphor bronze give a slightly brighter tone than the 80-20 bronze. I like them both depending on the guitar or how I expect my mood to take me over the next few months.
great strings
Great stings, my standard go-to for my Taylor acoustic guitar. Durable quality, nice clear sound!
Simply the best
This string set is probably the best one I have ever tried on an acoustic guitar. It has a warm and well-balanced sound, with great mid and treble equilibrium. It makes guitars sound better, even if they are not the most expensive ones.
One of the best
These strings feel so comfortable with the coating and yet they have a very rich full sound, one of the best strings out there
Great all-rounders
I find these strings a perfect pairing with my mahogany top guitar.
The sound is warm but also clear, well balanced between the different strings. I think singer-songwriters would favor these strings.
The feel is very smooth however the strings are very tough before being broken in. I took 3 days before they slackened enough to be comfortable for me.
I think the sound is great for most styles of music however I have difficulty imagining bluegrass being played on them.
I have been using different gauges of these strings for the past 4 years and I have settled on 11-52 as they have plenty of bass, mellow but clear and present highs and very smooths mids.
I recommend for OM, Grand Concert, Grand Orchestra style guitars.
The best strings!
I really love elixir nanoweb strings, for me they are perfect. Much less string breakage and they keep in tune much better in changing enviroments.
Best for my Gibson
I will never go to a different string set again.
Excellent
Excellent as every Elixir.
Best possible sound
These strings sound fantastic. They made my 10 year old taylor sound like new. Wonderfull. Great dynamics. And good harmonics
One of the best strings of the world
Great Strings, Dodgy Quality
I love the Elixir Phosphor Bronze strings. Firstly, they sound great. The sparkle off them is just fantastic and, like it says on the pack, they last for ages. They really do.
Now, if I were to have a criticism of these strings it is that they break just a little too easily for my liking. They are expensive. In the .11-.52 pack, the G is a 0.22, It is extremely light. So when I order a pack I always have to order at least one extra G (0.23) because the 0.22 will snap during the first hour of the gig.
The E and B are also prone to snapping quite a bit too but other than that they are great strings and when they don't snap the freshness lasts ages. They are capable of withstanding months of heavy gigging and still sound great.
I love these strings but the whole G thing is very annoying.
Best strings on the market
These are probably the best strings I have ever used. I used Martin SP's, Ernie Ball, D'darrio and more. They can't even come close to the tonal quality and the longevity you get from these strings. I can go for 3 months play 3 nights a week and still, they will sound fantastic.
Highly recommend!
Great longlife strings
When Elixir strings hit the market, I was the happiest customer.
Consistent tone, tune and playability. One small down size is that they have slightly harder tension. more treble and bass response compared to regular uncoated strings.
Tried various other brands but they are the best.
Great choice if you want the coated sound and feel
Tried them for the first time, as a friend recommended them wholeheartedly. They do feel nice on the fingers, the sound is strong and slightly punchy, and yes they do look and sound like new after months. Also stay in tune very well.
I have awarded full ratings overall as I cannot find anything to complain about them, apart from my personal preference for the warmer uncoated tone as I mostly play acoustic stuff only ambientally. I do have to admit, for a live club performance I'd choose Elixirs over my usual uncoated strings.
Not completely satisfied .. but one of the best coated strings
What can i say, for the price they charge they should be better in sound and longevity perspective.
Acoustic at its best
Once you try Elixir strings for acoustic guitar, and dont give up on those for cca one week (you must past the adjustment time for the feel of the strings), you can never go back again.
Continous great tamper and sound.
These strings really keeps on sounding really awesome on my guitar, they keep the tone perfectly, while i don't have to change the strings every second week, especially when i clean the strings from time to time. Best strings money can buy if you ask me.
Great durable tone
Been using Elixir strings for years and they're the more consistent strings tonewise.
Amazing
Wow, they sound so amazing. can't get any better than this. Sustains very good. Playability is so easy. Durability is on point. I highly recommend these.
A bit pricey but worth every cent.
