At last, the sound I wanted

Took me a while as a first time stacker building my own custom cab to get my head around ohms etc. but very glad I took the plunge. Stunning.

Oh, how I love this one!

Love the sound, using it in 2x12 cab together with V30. Playing mostly high-gain sounds, but also a lot of cleans and crunches, tried it with many amps.

Mostly micing it with e606 or vintage big diaphragm condenser (FLEA Monday (U87 style I guess)), but also Shure sm57 or Audix i5 do great.

Very good speaker for metal .

I use this speaker in conjunction with the marshall dsl 40cr . Texas heat removed the extra upper frequencies that stood out strongly with the celestion v-type(base) speaker. Noticeably added low frequencies, pleasantly enveloping the whole room ,but the sound did not become deaf .among the advantages I can note: 1. Pleasant timbre . 2. Perfect for metal. 3. Good clear sound and nice crunch. Minuses:1. They are not there.

Texas Heat

Fitted to a Marshall JCM900 50 watt combo, wanted more bass and middle than

the stock Celestion, the Texas Heat didn't disappoint, combo sound liks a new amp.
