Awesome delay!

Haven't found one thing about it that I dislike.

Obviously, it's not like modern digital delays, but you can get different shades of delay sounds with the TAPE AGE, FILTER and MODULATION switches. It emulates the old tape delays, and from what I could find on the web, it does the job really well.

The build quality is superb, the knobs and switches are all aluminium so it feels great. You can have hours of fun with it, just playing around with the delay times and feedback; it goes to outer space. There's and OUTPUT knob with which you can boost your entire signal so you can use it as a solo boost. The TAP-TEMPO switch is light on touch so you can easily dial your desired tempo and it's accurate. It can be very subtle and also quite prominent if you want it to be. It also has a range of internal options and presets in which I can't get into right now (not-enough-space).

But by far the best thing I like about it is that it's completely noise-free.

If you like 60's and 70's delay type sounds, this pedal is up there at the top.

Nice sounding delay pedal

Bought this pedal recently after reading reviews online, nice warm delay sound, very versatile with many settigs to choose from.. Build quality is top notch.

Have not dialed favourite settings yet,but the sounds i got from it so far are sort of vintage sounding.

Excellent

I have gutter with this for about anyway now and I must say it makes good on all of Empress promises. It's very easy and intuitive to use and does sound like an old echoplex. You can dial in the amount of modulation and simulated tape age as well as tap tempo and up to 3 presets. This box also has analog dry through, as smart feature found in some high end digital pedals. What this means is that your guitar signal passes through untouched and retains it's sound. The effect is simple added in parallel to it. For you this means superior audio quality and a pure signal path. You can also choose between trur bypass and buffered bypass. Buffer is good and comes in handy with longish cable runs.

Empress Delay

This pedal is something special.

It's extremely versatile, with a range of features I wouldn't usually expect; such as presets, blips and blops, adjustable headroom and delay cut off to prevent discordant chords' delay running into each other.

It's smaller and lighter than i expected which is very welcome.

The sound is stunning, providing everything from clean repeats to a modulated ambience. Brilliant quality of sound and design. Though you'd rather expect that for the price...

My only word of warning is she's a very thirsty pedal - 9v 280mA, which is more than many standard board PSUs give out, and doesn't come with a PSU of its own.
