Bought it because I am a fan of Daron Malakian, sadly not a big KISS fan, good sound, feels good, it's so light compared to my explorer, the only bad things where that it came a bit scratched but not too big of a deal and it neck dives. Over all good guitar and very unique looking.

Charvel guitars......I love the brand, their guitardesign and features but I see more and more issues with the quality. Unfortunately, it's the case with this model. The toplock is setup too high....to the extend that in order to solve it, you need to remove the toplock and remove some wood from the toplock's cutout. If you don't solve it, you can't get the action setup low without fretting out and/or fretbuzz. Fretwork but pretty decent this time (no proper levelled frets is another frequent problem nowadays). The studs for the floyd rose didn't line up and already had moved inside the body's bushings. The guitar itself is beautifull and the emg's have their own charm. Too bad Charvel puts out great guitars in terms of design and features but fail to...

I'm a Gibson guy and this is my first non-Gibson I've bought, and was only purchased because of my following of 'Volbeat', in my opinion one of the greatest bands ever. However back to the instrument, first thing I noticed was the perfectly slim profiled neck, it just sits so well and certainly as good as any of my Gibsons. The neck is solidly bolted to the lightweight body, and won't be moving on you anytime soon. The body has a nice finish to it and it's definitely purple. The 5 position pick up selector was a bit of a let down as I find it too easy to miss P2 & 4, although this might be a 'me thing'.Love the two control knobs, Volume/Tone as these are wonderfully machine turned and give great control. Wanted this guitar to add that 'Volbeat' deep crunchy growl, a tone...

Sadly this will have to go back, the wood around the input jack socket isn't actually fully painted, obvious bare patch. Supposedly brand new warehouse stock but a few signs that its been played, plus inner box has multiple layers of parcel tape and removed stickers so I guess its been out to other customers previously. Haven't even bothered to play this one, straight back in its box after a week of waiting. Waste of time.
