Amazing guitar for the price! I´ve changed the original pickups with Lollar Pickups and the tailpiece with a Bigsby Tremolo! And switched to 011´s. What a major improvement.

Neck feels great, really easy to play although you can't reach the higher frets comfortably , but I was aware; super light and it looks cool!

Wonderful Guitar - Superb Quality for the Money!

I admit I was skeptical, and didn't expect the guitar to be so good at that price point. No, it's not cheap, but has an affordable price for most musicians. I have been repeatedly surprised by the quality of Asian imports, and this was no exception.

I found no flaws in the finish, fret work, or binding - all excellent. After a very thorough inspection I was awed by the quality of the workmanship. Intonation was good out of the box; I only needed to adjust the bridge height (easy) and the intonation on the G-string. Neck is straight with a slight bit of relief.

Plays and sounds very good. Very comfortable neck, with a nice, chunky 60's vibe; P-90's sound great tho I had hoped for a bit more brightness. The pickups can't be raised or lowered, as is normal with most P-90 guitars, but you can raise the individual screws, which I did on the bridge PU. It seemed to have a little less gain than the neck PU. P-90's like to be close to the strings. The nut slotting is shallow, so there's room for more slotting, and I'd advise adding some graphite to the slots, as they do grab a bit, and stretching strings may hang and put the guitar out of tune.

Tuners are fine. They do the job. No quality issues here.

Body size is wonderful, at least for me. Many retailers describe this as a Gibson 335 size body, which isn't completely accurate; it's actually a Gibson 330 style body. The 335 is a semi-hollow body - it has a solid piece of wood that runs from the neck to the tail under the top - and the 330 was a completely hollow body, as was the Casino.

The American made, Gibson, Casinos, made in Nashville, cost about 4 times as much. Most of what you're paying for is US union labor. That's the real advantage of Asian imports; you're not paying stupid money per hour for the labor, and the factories in Asia are state-of-the-art. Aside from that, tho the Gibson version has the correct dark back, as did the Casinos in the early to mid 60's, they missed it on the fret markers, which the Asian imports got right; they slope down in the original version, not up, as the Nashville instruments do. And I like having the sunburst on the back as well as the front, as the Asian imports have. Looks great! and the grain is very nice.

I also would note that I was originally interested in the blonde version, but they were way oversold. So I grabbed a vintage sunburst, and I'm glad I did. Very beautiful, and what most guitarists don't seem to realize is that a blonde finish wasn't available in the 60's. I guess the Get Back film inspired a lot of players, but all of the guitarists in the Beatles, starting with Paul, who bought the first Casino of the band, bought sunbursts. Lennon had the finish stripped, as Donovan had told him it would sound better. Ah, and removing the pick-guard is easy, if you want that Lennon look.

This is a really fine instrument, beautifully crafted, with a very unusual sound and feel. I always wondered why the Beatles picked the Casino. Now I understand.

Authentic Beatles look and sound

This guitar is amazing. It’s completely different to any other guitar i have played. It’s completely hollow so it really rumbles and resonates against your body.

It does feedback a lot with high gain and due to being hollow with no centre block, the neck sits further up the body, meaning you cant really use the high end frets.

All that said, this is perfectly fine as it is really a rhythm guitar and not really for fast lead playing.

I bought this for its iconic beatles status and it really doesn’t disappoint.

It plays incredible and looks super cool.

Im so impressed that I may also buy the natural finish to look like the john lennon later years too.

Pros.. iconic, cool guitar. Looks and sounds authentic Beatles, circa Paperback writer.

Cons.. feedsback very easily, particularly if playing in small loud venues.

Overall.. amazing

Great guitar for the price.

Very light but heavy sounding guitar good for jazz, rock and blues. Great stock pickups. I changed the pots and wiring for 50's fashion. Records very well in studio.

That authentic sound

For the price, this is a very good guitar, that I use quite a lot in the studio, because it has a very "personal" sound that is distinctively Epiphone Casino. The guitar however, in my instance, required some adjustments to get it playing well, be in tune and for the strings to not buzz against the frets. So it was not like it arrived and was plug-and-play from the get go. But that is easily fixabla. Overall if you want the original early The Beatles sound, then this is the guitar – without you having to spend a gazillion on it. It's great also for mellow jazzy stuff and it can certainly rock too. I'm happy that I have one and I use it a lot.

Сharm Casino

One month's experience of owning a guitar allows you to say something.

The guitar is very charismatic. In the hands lies as an extension of yourself. The continuation of your hands, your thoughts. The guitar is very light and "dry." The guitar is assembled very high quality and neat.

The sound without an amplifier is very soft, velvety, round and deep. Sometimes I even forget to turn on the amplifier :), the sound of this guitar is so good.

At first strings rattled in three or five places of the neck. I didn’t do anything with it (I was afraid), and a week later, rattling disappeared.

The only thing to do is drown deeper the head of the screw on the picgard (the fingers were scratching), although some guitarists remove the pickguard.

Now it is necessary to cut the grooves on the upper nut, the strings in the first frets are clamped with some effort.

Excellent

Really fantastic guitar, especially if you're in to 60s bands. Perfect for playing early Stones and Beatles, Yardbirds, Small Faces and KInks etc.

A cheap guitar

And it feels like one.

The P90 don't sound like real ones, and the finish lacks in every aspect.

Compared to Squier's and Eastwoods this one really falls behind.
