Many doubts: seems cheap and defective tuner

I ordered this with high hopes but when the guitar arrived and a tried tuning it the high “G” string tuner was defective and I could not even tune it up before the tuner would POP and return to a lower tone. This obviously gave me many doubts : if the quality control was lacking in such a basic area as the tuners what surprises might I find in the future? (SO I RETURNED THE GUITAR.) Out of the box the guitar was also not useable, requiring an extensive set up: the strings, almost all, buzzed a lot, intonation off, etc. But to be fair that is true of almost any electric guitars. However this guitar would need an upgrade of tuners and the neck nut. It is too bad also that the tools (truss rod and bridge ) to work on a basic set up are not included, something which other brands provide. Buying online is always risky as the seller does not even open the box: something in a retail store that would never happen!
