Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60´s BB Reviews
Sond
Classic, strong Les Paul sound!
Satisfying beauty
As an old Guns´n´Roses fan a Les Paul was a must have for me. I was planning for a Gibson Les Paul, but decided to go for a cheaper alternative. I ended up buying this gorgeous guitar and I´m really happy I did. It´s even satisfying just to look at it, it´s a masterpiece. The sound and feel is very pleasing, so much different from my Fender Tele which is also great. This guitar is a bit heavy, it brings me the feeling of quality. I´m really happy with the purchase, this is a guitar I will never sell...
Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60´s BB
I bought this guitar since it was on Black Friday. It was spontaneous. I didn't have Les Paul guitars before. This tool is worth more than its money. quality, sound, sustain at a height.
This is a great guitar. I have never played a Gibson. I can't compare. But, my God, how it sounds. The quality of the new line is at the highest level. Frets have no complaints. Every detail is a masterpiece. And all this for little money. I am happy.
Absolutely satisfied
Beyond my expectations, nice sound, perfect neck
As predominantly a Fender guy, playing strats and tele's, I wanted to add some new tones and variety to my playing and decided to check out Epiphones new standard series as the reviews have mainly been promising, bar the odd QC issues.
Pros -
I absolutely love the look and finish of the Bourbon burst!
It feels like a much more expensive instrument just to have it in your hands, definitely on a par with the MIM Fender stuff quality wise. Fretwork is nice and the factory setup was not bad at all.
Grover tuners feel great and I've had no issues with tuning stability.
Cons -
Pickups are decent and I'm not planning on replacing them although, the bridge does sound a bit muddy to my ears.
I'm used to playing fast satin necks and this sticky high gloss finish is definitely gonna take some getting used to.
It's a lot heavier than my other guitars so i've decided its gonna be more of a sit-down rather stand-up player.
I don't regret my purchase whatsoever and it feels good to finally own a Les Paul without the huge dent in my savings that a Gibson would have taken!
