Quality over years!

What can you even say about new Ernie Ball strings ?

Well now since almost 50 years, the company Ernie Ball and their strings stand out by quality and new innovations.

This set of strings with the strengths of 009 , 011 , 016 , 024 , 034 , 042 , for the electric guitar , is as always, extremely resistant and rust and take the dirt on very slowly. This allows longer fun and saves you the hassle of multiple and changing the strings.

Since it is the thinnest version of Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings in this set , you can grab the strings with little effort and faster and easier to play than comparable thicker string sets . Bends are with this 009- set a breeze.

For guitarists who some times want to bend a whole tone or semitone who tune their guitars down, I'd recommend a thicker set of strings , because this just sounds better than a thinner.

All in all , the sound is second to none, the highs are very good and also the bass sounds very voluminous.

Reliable Old Standard.

I've used Super Slinky's for about 20 years and have never had any issues with them. They rarely break, although I must admit I don't bend the strings like mad. Once stretched they hold tune well, unlike some other strings I've tried, and the gage is just perfect for me. Not too light and not too thick on the fingers. They seem to stay in shape for a good length of time. Just very good, solid, well made strings. Recommended.

Great and cheap strings!

The Ernie Ball Super Slinky set is one of these sets that I've used on and off for years. They have a great sound and feeling! Very great strings!

When I playing these strings fresh and straight from the packet they feel so smooth. I was not expecting these when i first used them because of the price, and they do not take long to stretch in so this is very convenient if you are playing a gig the night you restring your guitar ;)

Very nice sounding strings

I just wanted to give you a quick review about the Ernie Ball super Slinky Strings, I bought them in different gauges (09, 10) and since a few months I play them on all my guitars !

I want to mention the good sound quality of these strings, they sound very nice and clear without sounding to light, they´ve got a good bottom range sound.

Remember strings are a personal preference, so its difficult to make a full review. But if your preference are 10s I would certainly recomend these to any guitarist (beginer or advanced).

In my opinion you can´t go wrong with these strings, I like them very much and will order them again .

Reliable and durable with a punchy sound

Ernie Ball deserves it's status as one of the most played strings (atleast on planet earth) with it's fair price, the variety of gauges and it's tone and durability.

The strings last about 3-6 months, depending on how much you play and if you play it with sweaty fingers or play them with clean hands.

The sound has it's fair share of basses, a strong mid and some treble, giving a strong, direct sound.

Best Ernie Ball

I really like these. The quality is really good and they sound awesome. I wouldn't buy any other, because they are the best!!!! Earnie Ball really seems to match every expectation! Thank you!

A classic

I've tried a few different sets of strings for my strat, but in the end, I always return to the .009 super slinky. They don't really have a remarkable sound, they just sound like a guitar should do. I mostly use them for clean to slightly distorted parts in alternative, indie, blues and funk. They do a good job and stay in tune for a long time. Not much sustain, but considering how thin they are, that's no surprise.

Playing an average of one hour per day, I change them about every 4-5 weeks, which is enough for me before they feel worn-out.

Good quality

My first string teared just one day after my guitar arrived...So I was very happy that i ordered it together with my guitar. The strings have a very nice sound and the quality is also good for this price.

Favourite strings

These are my favourite strings by far. Spot on sound, intonation and consistency of tone across length. Durability is also very good, although I have very dry hands so rarely pass any moisture onto the strings. Recommended.

Best strings overall

Besides having the best sound (over its competitors in the same price range), they are the only one that last more than two weeks on my guitars. During this time they sound like they're out of the box.

Ernie Ball Super Slinky Electric Guitar Strings Review

Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings really are my favorite strings for electric guitars with the standard 25 1/2" scale length. They are easy to bend, yet hold the tuning and keep a fresh sound during many hours of intense playing.

Can't go wrong with slinkys!

The industry standard guitar string! The super slinkys and regular slinkys are my go-to strings and have a fantastic life-span for the money. I will never use another brand of string!

Ernie Ball 2223 - The Best!

I have been using these slinky's for over a year now on my Strat, having changed from Fender Bullets. I have to say the change was amazing. The instant chime and easy bends you get is so noticeable. They are easy to play and whether you need Funk /quack, heavy rock, Jazz/subtle or chorus/accoustic style sounds you will have the correct strings in the 2223's. They are priced very reasonably so that changing the full set frequently doesn't break the bank. Hey if they are the choice of the likes of Clapton and Frampton who am I to disagree! Go on spend a fiver and get a 20 worth of enjoyment....

Good string, great sound

Nothing spectacular but very very good. Works very well with both single coils and humbuckers, works very well with a wide range of effects and with a lot of different musical styles. In short a great set of strings at a reasonable price.

Ernie Ball 009

I dont' use them very much, usually on my secondary guitar because I like EB 10-52 set more, but these are also very good strings, fine quality and durable, nice feeling, and what is most important, it is very easy to manipulate them, especially when bending. Recommendation.

Yeah.. what do i have to say, they are Ernie Balls. High quality strings, love to play with these. Fell in love with these strings after the first touch, will always be using these strings :) Highly recommend these.

been using these for years now,and never found them to be a problem,great sound,and great quality...but the best bit is the price!! cant beat em for the money...yes there are better strings out there but not at this price,and as i change mine once a week,quality is not an issue
