Great strings

Quality as you would expect from a set of Ernie ball strings! Great on my Les Paul but have been using Skinny Top Heavy Bottom 10-52 on my SG.

Very loud, bright sounding strings that last well!

Classic strings

I have been using these strings for decades and have always loved the sound and feel of them.

More recently, I tried Elixir nanowebs and found them to be excellent strings and certainly longer-lived than the 2223's.

But I prefer the feel of Ernie Balls under the fingers on electric guitars and have gone back to them once more.

They are very stable for tuning, don't mind drop-tunings, and always sound great.

Highly recommended.

Great as thin strings go.

Bought these to try out on a new Telecaster, and I didn't realise it at the time, but the thin strings were what I didn't like about the feel of the guitar.

That said, it's just a personal choice now regarding thick vs thin strings, and these still sounded great and lasted for a long time before I snapped more than the G (which I snap a lot on that guitar).

There's a reason Ernie Ball Slinkies are the default string for most people, and it's that they make good sounding strings that feel slinky.

Rusty Strings

An old order that I forgot to complain about. I still can't believe that this order arrived with rusty strings. I've just opened up the final packed today and the first and second strings are rusted. The other four are perfectly fine. How could this happen with a sealed packet. Make no mistake, they were delivered to me in this condition which means that they were lacking quality control that day or were improperly stored before delivery. Very disappointed. Too late to get a refund or a replacement.

Great strings

Using it on an Ibanez SAS 32 and it works great. Nice harmonics and neat resonance.

The packing also is well done.

Awesome!

even if these are the light ones, the sustain is surprising;not what i expected for this gauge. You can shred on them all day long without getting your fingertips messed up. They'll definitely last more than a month. a lot of clarity and btightness when using clean sounds.

Still a little too slinky

I changed strings from the Ernie Ball 2225 to these because the others were to light and tended to snap. Well these strings (Ernie Ball 2223) did last longer and sounded great with a great feel, very light, easy to bend, great clean crisp sound. But they still snap for me, especially the E string. In there defence I do sweat a lot on stage which does damage the strings.

Awesome strings

I use these strings on my Jackson 6 string with floyd rose. The strings stay fresh for a very long time and sound crystal clear. Super comfortable.

Would definitely reccomend this product to a friend.

Ernie Balls. my 'go to' strings for electric guitar

I don't change strings as often as I probably should.. but that's because of a mixture of laziness and because although a new set of strings sound fantastic, so does an old set.

I've been using Ernie Ball slinkys for the last ~5 years and have never had any issues. They're long lasting and very durable and haven't had any scary string snapping moments mid-bend.

They do require a little 'stretching' and retuning for the first few hours after fitting but once bedded in they maintain excellent tuning stability and I've found that any issues are typically guitar related.

This set is the 9-42 gauge. I typically use the 'hybrid' set (9-46) as I prefer the beefier bottom strings for heavy riffing and the lighter top strings for easy bends.

Treat your guitar to a new set of strings... it deserves it!

Great strings!

I'm using those strings almost since I started playing guitar more than 5 years ago. Never had problem with these ones - the quality is just great! Many great musicians use these strings, so you shouldn't worry much about quality of their sound...

However I recommend to change them once per 2 weeks or a month depending on how often you play the guitar, unless you clean them after every play as strings get muddy quite fast and loose their great sound.

But because their sound is worth that change I highly recommend those strings anyway!

Ernie Ball 2223 .009-.042

I normally use "James Bond" strings .007, so these are almost like "Anchor cable" to me. I wanted them for slide playing. Not sure if they're really heavy enough for that though.

Great strings

My guitars used to wear D'Addario or Rotosound, these are my first Slinkies.

For my HB TE-52 I think I keep these, as they are smooth, fast and soft.

For my Vintage V100 I think I will also try out some Slinky 10s for my next restringing.

Tried and tested...great strings

I have played guitar with Ernie Ball Super Slinkys for many years and find them hard to beat. They sound bright and clear, and the 9's make string bending and vibrato easy...without sacrificing on tone. I have experimented with other brands over the years, and none have come close.

Good quality strings

I purchased these for my daughter who is just starting out on guitar as I find the extra slinky very good for beginners, although the whole range is great. Good quality strings for a reasonable price.

Good strings as expected

Standard Ernie Ball strings at a good price. No complaints as they are one of the go to quality string brands and are always a safe bet.

great Ernie Ball

I've used many different brands of strings over the years however I finally turned to EBSS's and after using them for just a few weeks now I already kick myself for not going to them sooner. This is the ultimate go to string for me because of the great tone they give off, their long life and their easiness to bend. I have yet to break one yet and I sometimes get crazy on them with my strumming. From beginners to pros I would at least recommend giving them a try.Depends on what guitar you put them on... I find them to be brighter sounding than a few other brands. This can be good or bad depending on what you want. If your guitar is already on the bright, trebly side, you might want to try something else like d'addario. If other strings sound too dark, bassy on your guitar, then try these.
