Ernie Ball 2223 Reviews
Great Sound and Price
Great sounding strings with an affordable Price!
Everyone knows how they feel like
Quality remains the same throughout the years.
They last me for 2 or 3 months...
Go to Strings for everyone.
Wonderful strings
Excellent choice: are inexpensive, predictable sound, long life.
Classic set of strings
I've tried many other strings before I decided to give these a try. Never going to change now
Superb strings
These have been my go-to strings for several years. They are durable and pleasant to play. For lower tunings I would recommend thicker ones but for standard tuning these are great.
Ernie Ball 2223
My go to strings since I started playing the guitar!
Awsome build and sound quality at a great price!
Also, these strings are the number one choice of superstar guitar players
Excellent
I have been using these for about a year now and I refuse too use anything else. They have an amazing tone and are very durable and they don?t wear easily.
Great sounding guitar strings
The title says it all.
Nice ones
Used them on my Chapman ML3. Sounds nice!
Favourite strings
I just keep buying these. Very nice tone and feel
Always very reliable
Although I am not very picky with strings, the E
rnie Ball Super Slinky do their job very well. Quite durable, good tone and feel, and very reasonably priced.
Good value
They sound bright and loud, There are more lasting strings on the market, and I like the feel of some of them better, but these are really great strings for the money.
If you don't want to complicate yourself...
These are the perfect strings if you just want the standard set, they don't have any corrosion protection but the tone is very good and I simply can't complain for the price. This set in particular would fit any fender Strat or Tele, as they were designed for this string caliber (0.09).
I've had this argument with many of my friends about getting a bit darker with time, and it's obvious that after one month the sound will degrade a bit, but I prefer to change my strings 3 times for less than 20 euros, and always have new strings, than to buy a single package of Elixir for the same price, that although they will last longer, they can't compete with a regular change of strings. If you complain that these strings are not so slippery as the protected ones, try with some conditioning oil for frets like 'Fast Fret', I use it every time I leave my guitar back in the case, it protects my strings and feel as nice as any other brand.
Overall, I've been using them for years and I've tried other brands too, but I would say that for this price range they're unbeatable, I'd recommend them to any musician from entry level to professional.
Love the feel and tone on these.
These are my automatic 'go to' strings! love the feel and tone. Also love the fact that they are easy on the fingers :)
My strings of choice
I love these strings, Ive never had a problem with quality
Simply the Best
Better than all the rest. Perfect sound and quality. Abusing them constantly with divebombs, never managed break 1.
Great Sound
Used these for years good sound, durability and price
You can not ask for much more
Great sound and playing, not durability
I recently changed to using d'Addarios of the same gauge, only because I end up spending less money because they last longer! Don't get me wrong, I love these strings. I think they play better (especially when it comes to bending) than the strings I use now, but I feel like they break too quickly.
I can't recommend enough to at least try these strings out. Maybe you will find they last longer for you than for me.
Cool Strings!
This gauge is a classic and if you are a beginner at blues, this will help on super bend actions.
My go to strings
I've been using Super Slinkys for over 5 years now, and have never felt the need to try anything different since. They sound great, feel great, and quite take quite a bit of punishment for small gauge strings.
I love the loose clank of the strings (though not everyone does), and the ease of playing: I have broken a few fingers over the years, anything fatter than 10s start causing discomfort after about an hour of playing. But with these puppies I can play day and night.
I can count the number of times a string has broken on one hand, having said that I almost always play at home, so I can't say much for how they hold up when travelling and gigging a lot.
I have nothing bad to say about them, if you're looking for top quality 9s, look no further ;)
