Great sounding string set

If you are into the jazz and funk soul and pop music this set of strings could be a good choice. It is used on a Sire Vintage V7, and a five string version is on a RockBass Corvette Basic. Sounds great on both instruments. Strings going to be dead slowly and even if they are well used the sound is not dull. I cannot recommend it for hard and heavy music because the high frequency components are not so articulated as on stainless steel strings. For other genres give it a try.

Ernie Ball strings are great

Replaced my old strings with these and wow what a difference. The tone is so clear and powerful. A bit sparkly at the start but it soon mellows down a bit and settles in to a nice even sound.

Very interesting sound

I currently use these on my bass that I use for playing hard rock and metal, they have quite an industrial sounding tone to them, not the usual warm tone. They feel very nice to the touch and are a joy to play, also suited for fast picking! I would not recommend them if you are going for that deep punchy bass, but they are certainly interesting to play!

A lot easier to do taping and hammering on then i've used to with cheaper strings.

My favourite Bass strings

Try them out and you shouldn't be disappointed.

I find with strings it took me a while to find what I was after but these are it!

Strings for heavy sound

These strings were the first replacement on my bass and the tone had a great improvement compared to the factory ones..

The sound is quiet balanced on frequencies, good punch, not too bright not even too dull. But, in my opinion they are a good choice if fat tone is what you are looking for. The strings are thick, ideal for slap. In the end the tone is awesome but this is a relatively cheap string set, in fact they don't last as long as I expected, they don't hold their "as new" tone very long.

An important feature to what I pay attention is the protective envelope which helps to avoid early corrosion.

My favourite strings for my Sandberg California PM. The tension of the hybrid slinkies is perfect for finger play and drop D is no problem on the long-scale bass.

The bright sound in the beginning changes to a mid-rich punchy sound after some hours of playing. I use one set of strings for at least 3 month and I still like the sound after the time.

More pressure!

I got tis for my Harley Benton Jazz Bass JB-20 SB,

and it sounds much better now , much more pressure and higher output than the original string. Very good to play! Great sound!

My favourites

These are my standard roundwound strings. They sound very balanced to my taste and they feel good on the fingers. I like the hybrid factor as I find 100% steel strings too bright and 100% nickel strings too mellow.
