Classic tone

Very good strings. Nice tone from the start, and retains sound quality for long time.

I love these strings

The tone and gauge are awesome to my taste. But the brightness goes away too quickly, that's mentioned really often by other users.

Trusty and Reliable

Easy to Play, and nice to have the option of the heavier E string. Thanks for quick delivery and good price

The sound is really crips and clear!

I've pun on these before going to the studio, and man, even the guy from there told me my bass never sounded this good (we recorded an album before that when I used coated strings, more expensive but the tone was not as good as this one)

They lasted quite a lot of time, too. I will get again this set :)

Good standard roundwound strings

These strings are as standard as it gets. On my P-bass-type, they sound good and last long. The price is fair. A real workhorse. Nothing to complain about.

Scoop out the middle

when you want deep a dirty as well as light and intricate. Wont take you long to align your amp to get the best from these strings

Bought it 'cause it was cheap, got blown away

Earnie Ball Hybrid Slinky on Fender Mustang Bass,

They give more punch to the sound and maybe because of the way they package the strings, they felt like they came out of the factory today!

Honestly you can really hear a difference.

I'm hoping to see if they will last long or not, but for now I'm pretty happy.

Nice Bass Strings

I am a guitar player but I own a bass for recording little ideas to underpin the guitar (root notes lol). But these strings feel nice and produce a nice tone which I am happy with.

Benchmark for nickel rounds

Strings are personal preference but Slinky's and D'Addarios will always be there for me when it comes to nickel roundwounds. Just give them a try if you haven't yet.

Very good

I haven't used ernie ball strings in a long time but I'm pleasantly surprised with the clarity and the chimey tone that I get out of them. They also lasted a long time despite constant playing.

For Studio.

We used these strings for studio purpose.

Changed them right before recording.

Sound is clear and strong.

Really nothing bad to say. Solid.

The best bass strings in terms of tone!

There's no other bass strings like the Ernie Ball Slinkys. Tone-wise they're the best you can get. The moment you put these on, especially after you had some dead strings before in your bass, you'll notice a huge sound difference. They're also very easy to play and feel comfortable.

The only downside to them is that they may not last as long as other strings but it's not a huge difference. The tone you get from them is worth the tradeoff.

If you're going to record or play live then I absolutely recommend you load up your bass with a pack of Ernies. There's no other strings like it purely because of the sound you get - crystal clear, very fat and growly.
