Great strings

Feels very nice to play and sounds pretty good. I changed my bass strings first time after buying and felt quite the difference. Can't go wrong with theese.

performante

Merci Ernie Ball

The Balls

Usually gone for the Warwick Red Labels, which are cheaper and go duller quicker. These Ernie Balls, however, are a much needed treat - lasting longer and with lovely tone. Much recommended.

I am very pleased with these strings. They literally gave a funky punchy clear and loud tone to my instrument. Due to this change my budget priced harley benthon bass guitar ( PB-50 SB Vintage Series ) transformed into a powerful instrument

These are Ernie Ball

Bright, well very bright tone, and fat bass. Though I prefer flatwound, I used these strings on an entry-level bass and they completely transformed its tone. Highly recommend for a brighter shinier tone.

Best bass strings out there

Best all round, round wound strings! Versatile, easy to play on, for my hands it's the perfect gauge for bass. They wear in super nicely too!

AMAZING STRINGS! REALLY!

I just put these on my Fender Amercian Pro- P-bass, and they made a HUGE difference! They felt really good to play on and the punch... omg the punch... it was extreamly punchy with 0 tone too! + the package contained a cool comic, and that's a little + for ordering! <3

nice and bright

Put on Fender bass, it came alive, compared to using flatwounds. I like the tone much better now.

Great all-round strings

The Ernie Ball Super Slinky bass strings are a great, in expensive, all purpose set of bass strings. Not too light, not too heavy, they tune up easily and sound great. They are pretty durable too, but probably don't last as long as some other brands of strings with a coating.

Use:

I used this set for Musicman sterling 4H.

pros & cons:

For Musicman basses is especially recommended. This set has bright and jangling high frequencies and fundamental lows.

The classic set

When I first got my stingray bass these were the strings that came with it. Tried different types of strings after that in the course of 3 years but always came back to this set. To me this set is to bass strings what stingray is to bass guitars. You can play pretty much everything with them.

A classic-well balanced gauging, right amount of flexibility across the neck, right amount of grip-resistance. Tone wise, they're very responsive. You can easily achieve a gnarling, aggressive or a much more mellow, round sound with them. Thus they can handle pretty much any playing style. They are a little bit on the bright side; if you want a darker sound and less brightness (for picking or reggae for instance) you can just dial it in on the eq and strings wont fight back in tone.

They do lose their brightness after a certain amount of playing but they last much longer than most of the other strings I tried and the "gnarling" never goes away. Highly recommended.
