The guitars sold by Ola Englund are pieces of art. This FBM Baritone was on my mind as soon as it hit the streets. The finish is unbelievably gorgeous and the guitar itself feels very solid. The neck feels somewhere between a Jackson and a Schecter in my opinion. The headstock really finishes off the metal look of the guitar. The quality of this guitar had surprised me as it is not possible to test it or see it anywhere near to my location. The sound is very good. However as I am used to active EMG's it took a while to get used to. Playing good old carcass riffs and solos makes this guitar look good. I didn't try new strings yet but they could make a difference, depending on what tuning you would like to play this guitar in. Still need to play this through a top tier amp such as a Mesa...

I mainly write heavy music and if you were wondering if this thing could pull it off, it 100% can. Pros: it really has a unique sound. When clean it sounds twangy, but retains a beautiful warmth. On more driven tones, it has a very thick and aggressive sound, and that twang characteristic is even more apparent. It's super easy to play, and it's very light. Since day 1 it's been nothing but an inspiration machine. Cons: Noise. That's the only complaint I'd have. I'm not sure if it's the electronics or the pickups (or both). Might be something that could be solved with better shielding. And really that's it. I've had no issues with the hardware (tuners, bridge, knobs) at all, and it was set up beautifully out of the box. If you're planning to go super low, you should have no issue...

It's hard to be disappointed. When you buy Danelectro, you know exactly what you expect. There is probably no person who would think about buying this guitar when looking for versatility. And if you expect this specific sound, you will get exactly that ... but also a little more. This is not my first baritone guitar, but it is indeed the first one that is fully prepared for low tuning. The vast majority of baritones have exactly the same components as a standard tuned guitar, so the tone potentiometer and the neck pickup play a rather decorative role. In practice, using them in a low-tuned guitar ends up in a sound so muddy that, apart from experimental music, there is hardly any room to apply them. This guitar is styled like a bit like a '6o's Mosrite with Danelectro lipstick pickups in an unusual humbucker arrangement. As with many of these Korean built US style recreations the build quality is actually very good. I was after a Baritone electric and the combination of a semi-body and the Wilkinson tremolo was an added bonus. I really like the styling of this guitar. I think the blue is a great colour and it alters in different lighting conditions. The guitar as delivered was moderately well set up with medium gauge strings (a wound third) and I'd say these are optimum for this baritone guitar. I own an FGN baritone which I use for all drop A stuff, but I just can't force myself to like EMG pickups, especially for mild crunch tone. So when I found this guitar I decided to give it a try. It's a really nice playable guitar that doesn't melt under standard A or even drop G tuning but still doesn't feel like you are playing bass. The pickups are decent at overdriven/high gain towns but really stand out at pre-breakup and clean tones. The bass circuit is a very interesting feature, that you have to adjust to. Overall I really like and enjoy this guitar. IF you aren't looking for a djent machine (which this guitar isn't best suited to be), you want to try a baritone for rock/blues/jazz this is where you should start.

I’ve been searching for a baritone guitar for a while now. And I came across this solar baritone. i fell in love with this instantly. The package arrived sooner than i thought. The the guitar came with three layers of cardboard box and its case. It is a very secure packaging. The guitar itself is amazing. It find it very comfortable playing on it. The strings are lighter than I thought they would be. The gig bag looks very durable and is easy to carry. Overall i recommend this product and im very satisfied with it!

I reviewed the guitar on youtube..i know links are not allowed here. but look for "cory mura" on youtube and you will get a lot of informations and sounds about this guitar.thx. i received the guitar with a good setup,lowered it a little bit...perfect. no dead spots,excellent. the first thing you notice is the very cool look. agressive but stylish. the finish is something i would describe as "semi-satin"..it still got some shine to it but is satin. the pickups look almost like BKPs and got much clarity and can handle the 7th string very nice...all 7 strings sounds balanced and can give you nice cleans and work extremely well with gain. my guitar weights 3.5kg is balanced on my leg and on a strap..no neck dive. the whole construction is something you wouldnt expect in...

found this guitar in a youtube video by andrew baena and after buying and playing for almost a year now, i can definately say this guitar is worth getting if you are looking for a cheaper option and getting into baritones. ive set it up multiple times myself and set it up professionally a few times and ive only just now lost a string for the first time like two days ago. ive used this guitar for recording some of the heavier stuff my band likes to play and never had any issues. the locking tuners are a great addition for the low price. the only thing i would change is maybe the pickups but that seems to be something most guitars get upgraded. overall its a great guitar and its built well. many thanks to HB

After a long search, online and in local shops I found a baritone for me, I didn't want to spend way too much money on a baritone guitar because for me that is a novelty, something I want to play with and explore possibilities of lower notes after owning a couple of regular guitars.
