More than two years of use experience. I played a lot and often .

Pros : there are no complaints about the build quality - nothing rustles or crackles ) . The sound is dense , shakes and in general , I can say about her -she is very loud even for 15"! DSP effects are quite working ! To work as a DJ - that's what you need!!! If the budget is small , but you want to have a respected and reliable brand on voice acting ) Cons : The case is very vulnerable - it gets stuck , dents , the coating is not wear- resistant , advice - buy a case for it! And by sound - it's loud, but flat and quite hard, there is not enough softness at the upper and middle frequencies. Singing in them is not very comfortable. Something like that... Good luck to everyone !

Great quality

Recently purchased these and they are absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for an affordable pa system.

Superb all round

Used in a small venue for all audio needs these active speakers have proven their ability to deliver believable choral and organ music alongside meeting the need for PA and disco. The install is permanent on brackets rated well above the weight on these. Listeners all comment how the clarity is maintained from low to very high volume with no need to adjust levels. Very pleased. Pros: huge vale for money, fantastic versatilty, relatively small size, great protection circuitry, good connection versatility, great sound dispersion angles horizontal and vertical so listeners up close dont feel it is too loud and furthest people say loud enough. Cons: Heavy but not too heavy, No way to fit protection to corners of what are plastic cabinets... not a big worry as they feel rugged and we have them fixed in place most of the time. No way to lock out settings from being played with - would be nice to be able to protect the levels once set either behind a cover or a key switch to keep public fingers from playing. Overall a great buy with no major drawbacks and will recommend to clients again.

i thought this was an awesome speaker based on reviews

when i first got it i was happy cause eveyone seems happy about their own ev's

but when i got it and i played some music on the pole it sounded poor

its just sounds like if the speaker was in the closet and i was jamming music it sounds boxy not good very poor.

the speaker lack mids i cant just ignore the most horrible thing about those i play french house/ synth music i care about mid freq so much

this speaker was really really bad at those i couldnt enjoy music at all!!!! do not buy if you care about mid freq music such as french house heavy mid bass music or electro music thats how i see it

sold them asap to get a pair of yamahas 15 dbr which is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better

cons:

- the limiter is a pain in the butt

- sound is poor for my kind of music

they got pretty hot for no reason

i hate how they sound (check a vid called yamaha dbr vs ev zlx )

best sounding speaker i ever had , the sound is really clear with pumping bass ,,i really love it .

Great starting kit

I would like to say, that those speakers can bring in big punch and sustaine it. Been using them in my band, going to buy subwoofers, because wanted bigger low frequencies. The EV ZLX 15P offers great range and the design in my opinion is really modern and flawless. But if you will buy subwoofers with some kind top's, i would suggest buying EV ZLX 12P, their high frequencies will be clearer and you do not have to worry about low's if you are buying subwoofers. Easy to use and can rely on them too. great product!

The speakers have very good sound but are very poor quality. Keeps breaking down.

A very solid speaker. Am yet to use this speaker to its more than half of what it is capable of yet. Good sound and definitely getting more.

It's 'alright'. But doesn't go loud!! Warning!

Honestly, not as impressive as I thought. PLEASE LISTEN. This is the first review I've ever written for any product. This speaker sounds OK, it doesn't blow you away, it just sounds alright. The bass is good though! However the loudness is a real issue, it simply doesn't get loud enough. I struggle to fill rooms, and literally no chance with outdoor events. Be careful, remember this is the cheapest speaker EV makes, and the next one up is over twice the price; there is a reason! I have had this thing limiting in rooms no bigger thnn 25 sq ft (average house room size).

If you can afford it, I would highly recommend spending more money on something more expensive!

There are a lot of split reviews about EV ZLX 15P . There is PA war out there for the costumers, i have searched the internet for 3 months read every single review, went to a music store to listen them and did a comparison with other competing brands...

I must say that i m very satisfied with overall result of these speakers.. buying them in a bundle is a best way to get yourself a start up / pro-based PA system, if you are a musician in a band, vocalist, speaker, or a mobile DJ!

I m personally a DJ (techno) .. and i used them in a crowd of 120 people in a larger room - pole mounted / club setting on DSP.. they did their job flawlessly, crystal clear sound, no limiting, no lack of bass also they can produce a good level of SPL ! I played vinyl and DVS with great result! people on the floor had no tinnitus at the end of the night..! For a full range PA speaker its probably a best you can get for this amount of money. I m considering buying a pair of active subwoofer for extra bass volume in a future, but this is just my point of view.

as title says it..this speaker is superb..i bought a pair of this,within short period of time i bought it again..really happy with the product.the clarity of the sound and its power never fail to mpress me n my band.even the crowds were stunned by it.

For such price the best speaker!

This is very good product for small parties, with a lot of features. It better sounds only with sub woofer. The digital sound processor behind is very useful. It is possible also to use speaker stand alone, with no mixing console.

The EV ZLX 15P Speaker has a very good sound quality and very portable, reliable, and affordable, easy to carry around for a mobile Dj, Band, Clubs, or Events... I have two of them and they've got the beat sound quality, volume control and other cool functions...l'll Recommend it for DJ's, Bands, Club and Events... This is the right speaker for a good gig..

Love these units, the internal DSP is a gift , with a high reaching SPL (126) i think and the different mode settings IE for vocal, music, club ect take a lot of guess work out of getting the sound right, i use these units for djing up too 100 people, handles no problem with clear crisp sound, excellent value for money
