Replacement.

Bought this as a replacement for a second floor tom that came with a stock head. All good and rapid delivery at a good price.

Good product

I really like these heads. I use them for my floor tom, they produce good sound, high quality, 100% would recommend and buy again.

Great for a punchy controlled sound

If your drums are cheaper/hard to tune or if you’re touring and need heads that are quick and easy to make sound perfect, these are one of the best options out there.

Evans!

Evans drum skins are top quality. The sound is perfect, they are durable and last long. I would highly recommend Evans over and above any other skin brand.

I recently switched to Hydraulic batters for all my toms; the EC2s are a classic looking and sounding clear tom batter, but the hydraulics for me are a lot rounder and fuller sounding. They decay quicker than the EC2s clears, so for my taste hydraulics are perfect. But, if you prefer longer decay and a slightly more complex set of fine overtone options in tuning, then I couldn't recommend the EC2s skins more.

Proper good old Evans.

My favourites by far :-)

Great Depth in Tone

Gives natural low sounding tone on the 16” tone. The SST ring also assists in partial dampening.

Great head

I still had the custom heads on my toms and i changed them with (also my floor tom) with this ones. Now they sound so much better, i use them in combination with a moongel, now my toms have a dream sound for me. Best cheap upgrade i could do.

Quality

These are now the only tom skins that I use for my floor tom after many years of different skins. The Evans quality is always perfect and the inbuilt tone ring makes these skins amazing.

Durable Heads - sound amazing

Been using EC2's for a while after changing from Evans G2's. The double ply clear head with the rings helps control sustain and pitch and gives a better and punchier response from toms - no more overtones. These heads last quite a while and don't need changed too often. Wouldn't use any other heads on my kit EC2's the the way forward and know how to take a beating. Tonally wise you sometimes find if you add external damping etc. on your heads you may find that they sound too dead and mot very resonate, this can be solved my just playing heads as they come.

Try using it for your kicks...

I needed a special small kit for some acoustic gigs. My plan was to use my 16×16" floor tom as a kick drum. I needed a drum head that could take the beating from the pedal, and that would sound deep and controlled. I got both things from this one. The kicks sound like they're coming from a bigger somewhat muffled drum. The overtones are few, and are not dominant - the sound is not "ringy". I have not tried it with my sticks (except for tuning), but if you're looking for control this drum head will probably work for you. It stands up quite well to pedal kicks, and it did not get dented or bent.

I am very satisfied with this drum head and would recommend it along the lines described above.

Awesome skin

A bit of a cheat as this was an add on to the set I bought for 14", 12" & 10" but even at this size, full, warm rounded sound, no buzz or excess ringing, oh, and dead easy to tune, as well.
