Just WoW!

I didn't imagine my 16 inch FT can sound like a gong drum, but this head is capable of doing that. It also sounds good tuned higher if you are looking for more tone.

great head for thunderous floor tom

This head was a very pleasant surprise, it's very muffled while retaining a loud volume.

The floor tom sounds almost like a bass drum, which is great when playing triplets.

I love the sound and have already ordered another head for a different drumset.

Not suitable - in my opinion - for jazz or any genre where 'ringy' sounds are desirable. Great for punk and rock in general, the muffled sound prevents a lot of unwanted feedback when micing the drum.

Sounds amazing. Turned my tom into a powerful bass drum.

Improved sound

I've used this on a 16" floor Tom converted to a mini kick drum and now it sound like a proper kick drum

I am blown away.

This head has blown me away. I use it on my 16" floor tom, playing it as a normal floor tom and not as a bass drum. This EMAD head has an incredibly deep and dense pitch, with an abundance of smack and attack. Tune it low and it sounds like a cannon, tune it a bit higher and it becomes super punchy. I cannot stress enough how awesome this head is if you want a deep, FAT floor tom sound. Very highly recommended!
