Stunned!

This is my first head from Evans, and I am stunned. I use it on Pearl birch shell 22x18, and it sounds awesome!!! A lot of lows, and great attack! No overtones. Best kick drum head ever!!

It comes with interchangeable foam dampers and impact patch.

With this head, you can't go wrong! Best buy!

evens as all ways great drum heads, looks good sounds really nice and the damping rings let you get the sound you want stupidly easy i highly recommend these heads. the only down side to these heads is the spare dampening ring but its a easy fix to dispose them

Great first impressions

This was my first time using the EMAD2's and i was looking for a boomy bass drum sound whilst being a very durable skin. Hard to comment on its durability just yet but i think this one is noticeable better than other bass drum skins I've used in the past. The 2 foam rings included are a great way to modify the bass drum's sound to meet your preference. Id also recommend applying an Evans bass drum beater pad to maximise the skin's durability.

Outstanding skin!

You can't go wrong with Evans.

In terms of quality their products always excel! You know you've got a good drumhead if its evans or remo!

Off course the sound of the drumhead it's not for everyone.

I ripped my old original drumhead and needed one that could last and had a good sound. After a lot of video reviews I bought this one and it's amazing. The two foam rings allow you to dampen the sound to your taste, or if needed you can opt to don't use any of it and it still sounds awesome! I have it on a 22" bass drum and I really really really love the sound of it!

You won't be disappointed! Worth every penny!

Solid

Was not expecting such a high quality product!!! People said it was good but I had my doubts so I decided to try it. The interchangeable foam circle pads was a nice touch which again I did not expect.

Overal a briliant product.

Evans 22" EMAD2 Clear Bass Drum

I mainly play rock and metal orientated music and I find this head to be perfect for what I do. The three levels of dampening mean the head is versatile, the two ply adds durability. This means i have no dampening (pillow/duvet) inside the bass drum and can get a nice open sound which is easily controlled with the dampening rings. It works both live and in the studio. I would highly recommend this product.

EMAD2 Clear Bass Drum

Very durable and well worth it's value. This skin has lasted me a long time while keeping it's sound. This skin helps create a solid punch from your bass drum and keeps tune very well.

Evans 22" EMAD2

Stunning head. really punchy and great attack. Recommend with the Evans Resonant EQ3 Head! No need for pilly unless that's what you want! I really suggest you get this as a batter head. Easy to tune also.

22" EMAD2 Bass Drum head

Adds an amazing dynamic and sound to the bass drum. Great for high, mid, and low ranges, and every kick regardless of if you use a double or single kick is accentuated amazingly!

Great product, for a great price!

A must have for every drummer

Evans EMAD2 bass drum batter head

Drum heads are a matter of personal taste. The EMAD2 is designed to give powerful low end punch with little sustain, and it succeeds admirably. The basic tone without the surrounded foam ring inserted is quite woofy, but once the foam is in place the kick sound focuses incredibly into a powerful punch - it really must be heard to be believed!

Strongly recommended for any style where low end punch is vital, I would suggest that a wooden or plastic beater would be a good match though to make sure the sound has some higher harmonic "click" and definition.

Amazing sound

Very Fat sound and full of power... my only issue is that i cant use my Ddrum kick trigger any more as the sensor doesn't fit due to the external mufflers... but i love it!!!
