Great sounding, durable head

This head is great for lots of genres, but tends to have warmer and deeper characteristics than (perhaps) a clear head or single- ply head. I use this head (along with other G2 coated heads for my toms) primarily in playing funk, pop and sometimes jazz and less heavy rock. An all round great sounding, durable and high quality head for multiple genres :)

Excellent

Thanks to the level 360 collar, this drum head seats much better on my floor tom and is easier to tune than the equivalent head from other brands. Highly recommended!

Greart versatile tom head

Sounds fairly open directly out of the box, and easy to get a deeper sound with a little muffling. Very easy to tune

My go-to drum head for toms

Great sounding and durable drum head. This gives me the tom (and snare) sound I want. I find that the coating last better with Evans too.

My go to batter head for everything.

Well what can I say, i love coated2 ply heads. warm, dark and full tones from my toms and a great dynamic tuning range on my metal shelled snare. Evans don't actually do a G2 snare so i just go for the Tom version.

This head has actually been my favoured snare batter head choice for 3 years now and its never let me down. I've never punctured my snare skin thanks to its strong build quality, and i personally love the snare sound it produces. Drummers like Cobus Potgieter also uses this head for his snare and has done for several years, so i would strongly recommend this head if looking for a new snare batter head.

solid

Good heads, they tune well and have a relatively good lifetime.

Super durable

I use these G2's for my snare's and never have a problem with their durability. That produce a fat warm tone on every snare i use, wooden and metal. They always outlast other brands i have used and i prefer these over heads actually for snare's that Evans produce. You cannot beat Evans quality!!! Love them.

Warm, classic rock sound at an affordable price

How I love G2s! They really sound warm, maybe not for everyone's tastes, but for light/classic/blues rock, they are ideal. For more in-you-face cold punch, go for Remo Ambassadors, but you can't go wrong with these for general rock. They stay in tune reasonably, and don't cost an arm or a leg.
