Great for the price

Strong head with crisp sound and lots of reverb, perfect if you like to modulate your snare sound

Fine

Nothing special about it I find, does the job I want it too. Will keep it as my resonant for awhile and swap my batter head.

Excellent

Thanks to the level 360 collar, this drum head seats much better on my snare and is easier to tune than the equivalent head from other brands. Highly recommended!

Evans!

Evans drum skins are top quality. The sound is perfect, they are durable and last long. I would highly recommend Evans over and above any other skin brand.

It's hard to rate snare side skins to be fair - they sit there and make a rattly noise.

But, Evans are my favourites so I recommend these 100% :-)

Evans S14H30 14" Snare Resonant Head

Excellent, these are some of the best around in my opinion, solid build and they take any necessary tuning cranking very well.

Nice item!

It's classy, not super expensive, working a lot. Happy with the sound - it's possible to play any genres. I love to tune it a bit higher than cover above.

best bottom snare choise

beautiful drumskin. for me it is the best choice for a snare drum. I prefer aquarian for toms, but for snare it is the best product of all time. highly recommend!

Best resonant drum head

Best resonant head for snare you can find! Recommend it! It lasts very long (I had it for like 6 months now and no signs of deterioration) and sounds very good on the bottom of the snare.

Just good!

I was always a REMO guy but once a shop manager told me to give EVANS a try and I bought a set of heads...They sounded great and since then I value EVANS a lot. This is my first reso and I'm fully satisfied with it. Just good!

At this point, this head is considered a somewhat "classic" reso and there's a reason for that. It's thickness is ideal, not overly sensitive but still articulating ghost notes perfectly. Give it a proper tuning and enjoy the crack and the tone. I use it with a steel snare and, while maintaining the "ring" that is typical of a metal snare, the overtones never get out of hand.

Substandard product

Head loosened at the seam (rim) while tuning up. Had no head doing that to me EVER.

Update 2018-07-05: since I thought I maybe received one faulty head the first time, I took the chance to order a second one, and, yes, it did exactly the same thing: while tuning up, it RIPPED at the seam again!

Head drum head

Been using this Evans drum head from the beginning, always been a great sounding drum head which is reliable. Strongly recommend. Certainly the best Evans resonant snare head, and in my opinion, better than any other brands.

It's an evans, off course it is good!

I bought this resonant head because of the reviews and everyone recommends it as a must for resonant head. I had my original resonant head which ripped so I bought this one to replace it. Although you're not going to actually "play" the reso head, having a good one on the bottom nicely tight and tuned properly it will definitely allow your snare sound to really sing. Add it with a pure sound snare wires and you've got yourself a really nice bottom combination.

Quality wise evans is really good, it doesn't go out of tune and the sound it produces is really great. You can't go wrong with evans.

Overall is a very nice product and I will by again when needed.
