I bought this rather than the pre made drum sizes you can get as it is much better value. It is really easy to fit and drastically reduces the sound of a rim shot. Great for use with mesh heads and low volume cymbals to allow you to practice at home without disturbing everyone. Definitely recommended.

Recently purchased a 15" ring control ring for my DW collectors floor Tom, which has tendency when tuned low to rumble a bit too long, my immediate reaction when opening the packaging was how poor the manufacturing quality of this device is, the foam insert ring fell apart, due to poor glueing, and when trying to fit the thing on a perfect round Tom Tom it had to be pushed over with force and held down until head and hoop etc forced it to stay on!! It didn't even come close to being a circle, or at least a 15" circle. I'm summary and operation , it dampens ok, but in my option ruins the feel and playability of the batter head. Think I will remove it and put back my Evans sound ring and try to tune my problems away, REMO should take a long look at the superior EVANS products.
