Keeley Caverns Delay Reverb V2
Based on 10 reviews
This pedal sounds really good, deep and fat and the junction of reverb and delay really gives me an awesome sound as they work greatly together. What anyone failed to inform me was if the pedal was good or not for lead distortion playing, besides the amazing atmosphere stuff it makes and shines doing, because i was looking for a reverb delay that was able to do everything. answer: yes! i would say that im able to get a very john petrucci delay reverb tone, which is kind of specific and not for everyone but i absolute love. the result of the delay and reverb together is really when the magic happens. besides that, all the atmosphere and creativity potencial i can go with this pedal is inspiring. since i like to do lots of different sounds with it i need to tweek all the time: i would...
Strymon El Capistan V2
Based on 7 reviews
El Cap has always been my favorite tape delay (digital) pedal. V1 is a classic for a reason, and the V2 brings excellent improvements. First of all, the MIDI capabilities expand this pedal for those who want tons of presets available. For us who like the simplicity and hands on approach, there's great improvements here too. Live editing mode makes secondary function settings much easier to set and recall (led blinks when your knobs are at the saved position). Spring knob is a great addition. Now it's super easy to add or remove reverb (this was a huge hassle for live gigs with V1) and you can even use V2 for spring reverb only - without adding any delay at all. That wasn't possible in V1. Tonally, there seems to be a touch more fidelity thanks to the new ARM DSP chip with more...
EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run V2
Based on 6 reviews
The EQD Avalanche run is not a typical delay pedal, it's a mix of a delay and reverb, but it's none of them at the same time. I had a hard time finding more uses for this outside of ambient and drones, but EQD pedals are not knows are your grand dad's effects pedal, that's what companies like Boss and TC electronic are for. The avalanche run has three main mods, normal (literally), swell (magic), and reverse (the weird but great!). The pedal like all of EQD is true bypass, so I didn't find any impact on my overall sound, and pairing it with a reverb (in my case the Afterneath V2) creates sounds that you didn't even know existed. But this pedal is not for everyone, if you just need a classic digital delay, just get a flashback 2 for a third of the price. The Avalanche run is for...
KMA Audio Machines Cirrus Delay and Reverb
Based on 6 reviews
It is the first single effect (well... dual) pedal I bought and I am very impressed so far! I've been using it for the past two weeks with a Schecter diamond Omen extreme Fr and a Vox VT20+. The sound is amazing! The versatility and the sensibility of the knobs is huge, I was never able to get the same sound twice. It also reacts very well with dynamic playing and with the toggle switch of my Omen extreme. The result is an endless cloudscape of sound possibilities. Still wasn't able to get clear delay repeats (like in Dream Theater's surrounded solo for example), but I still need to get to know Cirrus better. I have also tested it connected with my Boss GT100+ and both the delay and the reverb remain very clear and distinct even with more complex distortions or effects. If you're into...
Meris Polymoon
Based on 5 reviews
This is a very unusual delay. Not designed for common application, it's more a sound design and dreamy soundscape tool. The algo is not another typical "<effect name> in delay feedback line/wet signal" but rather a network of interlinked delay lines with modulation. Such a structure is inspired by rackmount effect units of the past and not found in other similar pedals. The resulting sound is unique and different and maybe not for everyone. Some standard delays can be dialed though. The overall sound quality is very good and the package is wonderfully designed. The only flaw is common with other Meris (and also Strymon) pedals: every knob has an alternate function (which may affect sound significantly) and without display it is difficult to read and dial values.
Electro Harmonix Grand Canyon
Based on 4 reviews
Bought this processor a few months ago and have been using it extensively. This pedal has great modern features for looping, including a very useful "undo/redo" option. 16 minutes of recording time lets you loop whole songs or compositions. There are many different effects, each with multiple adjustable options for a virtually inexhaustible sonic palette. And, personally, it looks very nice. There are some issues, however. Naturally, all the options do not make it easy to use for live playing, although this is solved with the choice to make presets. One actual drawback would be that it is not a true bypass pedal and this does effect the sound quality a little bit. It's not as compressed as say going through a Line6 DL4, but it is audible when you listen carefully. All in all, I...
Crazy Tube Circuits Time Mk3
Based on 3 reviews
this pedal is spectacular, a delay that mixes perfectly with the pure guitar signal and receives the saturated sounds adapting to the signal produced in a unique way and creating sounds so beautiful that I've never been able to experience with another delay pedal. the magic button here where I can find the perfect balance of feeling between guitar and effect is the tone potentiometer. the tone pot is pure magic. This pedal comes with built-in modeling, let's say 4 effects in a single potentiometer with an intensity stage between effects that when used give even more personality to this magnificent pedal. the foot switches don't make the famous ''click'' but have a good feel. pure sound and with an enviable quality. 100% satisfaction!! a unique pedal that makes it possible to find a...
MXR M 292 Carbon Copy Deluxe
Based on 3 reviews
Now this is a fine piece of equipment. Both versions of the Carbon Copy are great, but with the "Deluxe" version you get the best of both worlds! You get warm analogue delay PLUS you have the option to press the "bright" button and get more modern and brighter tone. Moreover, it's built like a tank. You just can't break this thing! Finally, it's extremely versatile as it allows you to tweak most of the effect's settings. Honestly, I don't think there is better analogue delay pedal out there.
Dawner Prince Boonar Echo-Delay
Based on 3 reviews
This little unit is something else! It is a small unit and using it live on the fly might be a challenge but when you get to grips with dialing in the sound you want - it is phenomenal! If you want Dave Gilmour this is the sound! It's not cheap, but I think it was worth every cent. It can give you everything from a lush reverb through delay/echo repeats to self-oscillating swells and endless sustain. It's a great creative tool for studio work or even composing parts around what it does for you. It will never leave my board.
Flamma FS03 Delay
Based on 3 reviews
This was my first Flamma pedal, and I will say that probably not going to be the last. I am very impressed by what you get for the money, the build quality is amazing and it works great. There are many settings and different features. For those who do not know, the seventh setting is a LOOPER!! Of course it can only handle 90 seconds of loop, but you can do a lot with that, and after all this is a Delay pedal, having a free looper is a very nice extra. Now I am definitely thinking about getting a Flamma Reverb and Modulation next.
