Fender 9050L 5-stars Reviews
Great value flat strings
I use these in most of my basses and they seem to last forever and improve the tone with time. Great value and less tension than LaBella.
Excellent value for money......
and on top of the excellent price, they sound and feel great. Far more twang than La Bellas and more like TIs. I don’t think you can go wrong at this price and they will last for years!
Super!
I wanted flatwounds, these were in a low price,I grabbed the chance.I am very happy.Sound vintage ,what my '78 Jazz Bass needed. Both happy!
Very pleasant sound
I have been using flatwound strings since the day I discovered them, very comfortable to play. These strings are with green ends, does not quite match my bass, but not too bad.
Very good
I bought this string set for my fretless. It feels and sounds great. I see no disadvantages.
Awesome
I found my favorites strings.
Very good vintage sound
Very nice feeling on my fingers
I can play for hours without worrying about calluses and that is dope
Perfectas
Muy amigables al tacto, una de las mejores relaciones calidad- precio que hay en el mercado en cuerdas flatwound.
recomiendo abiertamente!
Best flatwounds for the money!
Best flatwounds for the money!
Very slick feeling and felible flatwounds with agressive mids.
they almost sound like rounds while reatining that advantages of playing flatwounds. I recommend! ;)
Amazing strings
These strings match perfectely with my Harley Benton Beatbass :) They are super smooth and soud really full and smooth :) there is not much to say about them, they are good strings, if you are looking for a warmer and less bright tone :)

Fender 9050L
Use:
I used this for Fender Jazz bass AmSt.
Clarity:
This string set provides exactly the sound you expect to get.
pros & cons:
Well, i fully satisfied for the purpose
Great Feel
I put these on my Jazz bass and even though I play in mostly rock bands the tone and feel of these strings is fantastic. They are soft and easy to play with and they have that great tone you expect from something that has Fender written on it
Great string set, well balanced and sounds nice on my Precision 51 stringed through the body. I definitely would buy again!
Great tone
Possibly the best value for money flat strings available.
Tried them on Jazz and Precision basses and sound amazing. Durable, last for years, very nice feeling on hands, great playability. Highly recommended!
Super Punchy for Flatwound
seem very bright at first for Flatwound , but these have massive resonance and tone , and much punchier than Nickel flats .
nice sounding strings
Bought these to replace a set of roundwound strings for my 4 string fretless bass.
Pros:
- they stay perfectly in tune from the moment you set them on
- nice sound, defined from the lowest to the highest frequencies
- very good price
Cons:
I really can't see any negative point for this strings.
Overall, very good value and decent sounding strings. Thumbs up!
thumpythumpthump
After buying a second hand bass pre-strung with 45-105 flatwound strings, i was pleasantly surprised by the feel of them, and how the smoothness effected the playability of the instrument! This then spurred me to look further into flatwounds (being previously avoidant because of the association with the beatles bass tone) and i subsequently ordered these. Instantly i was i love with the fresh string tone, and have found that the bottom E warms up as the strings settle but still retain a clear high mid punch. Another positive is the variation in tone between finger-style and picked lines, adding an element of versatility in being able to reach dirty punk hooks and clean bluesy lines.
To conclude, the strings are an investment well taken for any bassist looking for strings that span a variety of genres tones, and hold their own under higher action whilst maintaining comfortable tension in jazz standard set ups.
Great value,great sound.
When I first started playing bass in the 60s(yes I am that old!)you didn't have much choice when it came to bass strings.Very few brands to choose from(I remember Monopole and Burns)and they were all flatwound.
These days there is lots of choice but most strings are roundwound. There are far fewer flatwound strings which are pretty much essential if you play fretless bass,or you are going for that traditional boomy sound beloved by James Jamerson among many others.
These Fender flats are some of the cheapest you can get but they are certainly not cheap sounding.Very full with a nice 'bloom' to them.
I love 'em and would recommend them to anybody.
love it
I love feeling under my fingers with this strings. They produce smooth, deep sound, perfect for reggae.
Great and Cheap!
Like Daddarios the Fender Strings are packaged within a small plastic bag which is boxed within a paper box. Like the Daddarios the Fender strings have coloured ball ends and the string even feels the same like the Chromes. The wiring is green and looks really cool. Strung onto the bass they gave a great warm and metallic sound, the E string sounds a bit darker with less highs. Playing for a few days the sound gets better and better. So go get and buy those strings, are very cool package!
