as I also own 1st gen Aerodyne (black, PJ config.) let me compare the two.

New gen Aerodyne has same superb japanese craftmanship quality.

It has better tuners (Gotoh, adjustable) and better bridge (Babicz), input jack type is different.

electronics are on par with 1st gen Aerodyne, solid, no need for upgrade.

although different fretboard radius playability is comparable, very good, ex factory setup very good, factory strings o.k.

installed Fender strap pins and string it with my favourite DR Sunbeams 45-105 strings - am all set
