Very cool addition with the champ amp

Must have to totally enjoy the Fender Champ amp.

Only bad thing when you switch from a clean sound to distortion there is a split second of silence. Not sure if its my amp.

It's a footswitch.

It works... and it's got LEDs built in. It's got an impressively long lead with it and it's made of metal (with plastic sides).

Fender Super Champ X2 HD Footswitch

I bought a Fender Super Champ X2 HD and this footswitch allows as expected to control the channel (Clean <--> Overdrive) but also control the effect On / OFF of the amp.

It's also build like a tank so it's seems it will last for long.

One more nice feature: the cable which comes with it is pretty long (quite 3 meters). So it's vey handy to not be stuck close to the amp

Quality Fender Footswitch

This footswitch is well constructed, feels very solid and looks like it will take some abuse. The left switch will change channels and the right will turn on/off effects - nice and simple! The included cable (standard mono 1/4 jack) is adequate and long enough, and not of really high quality - but it does the job. If you have a Super Champ X2, I highly recommend adding this switch.

Original Fender Switch

It's cheap, it's Fender, it does what it says. There is no noise produced when switching channels. It's heavy, it's stable. You can have fun with the effects also

I had this on my wishlist a long time while agonising over whether to get the x2 combo or the x2 head with 110 enclosure. I went for the latter and was going to just use the clean channel with my multi-fx pedal but I'm glad I got this. I really liked the various amp voicings/effects on the amp and this is a must to switch effortlessly between them. Pity it didn't come with the amp but a sturdy, good looking piece of kit.

A necessary accessory!

Pros:

Very useful, nicely manufactured, very light, comes with cable.

Cons:

Could be made entirely from alluminium.

i bought fender superchamp x2 with this pedal and it does job amazing. if you play song and there is clear tone and overdrive in it. you just play clear tone trough tubes and then change channel to solid state mode and it gives you a little overdrive with right voice and other options.

overall great pedal.

Can't go wrong with it. Should come included with the Fender Super Champ Amps but for the price it's a great addition.

X2 Pedal switch.

For my Fender superchamp x2. Allows you to switch channels, and to turn one selected effect on/off. Reasonable quality,should last, but as mentioned in other reviews, i think should be included with the amp, it is just a very simple basic on and off switch, it has red indicator lights, and i suppose it looks the part. Price not too bad, but your paying for the name.

Add-on accessory

Bought this for my SuperChamp combo before putting together a pedalboard. It's build quality is just ok, it can take some foot-punishment, but it would be much better if there was a switch to tap between the different built-in amplifier effects, not just switching the selected effect on and off. Useful otherwise.

Good Solid Quality

Does what it has to do and is solid, with LED lights that are easy to see.

The only remark I have - it should have been really part of the amp package, as this is a switch for very few Fender amp models. Like this - you getting the feeling to be ripped off...

Does the job

I hesitated on buying the pedal, but now I have it I like what it does. With A Super Champ XD you cannot switch an effect on or off without physically turning the knob to minimize the effect - unless you have this pedal. On or Off is easy now. It obviously switches from clean to any of the pre-selected emulation settings as expected. Good length cable, although it's like a power cable for a pedal rather than a footswitch and previous Fender footswitches I have had. Also not as heavy duty, but guessing this is not likely to be taken out for a gig

Not a complaint but an observation.

A must have for fender amps....

Having just bought the Fender Champion 40 amplifier it was good to find the appropriate foot switch in stock too. Pretty much does what it says, selecting clean or drive channel and allows any effects dialed in to be turned on or off. It's a pity that there isn't the function to switch a reverb function separately from the other effects on the amplifier, but at this price, it's hard to complain. Feels solid and well constructed.

Pros

Well built but not unecessary heavy.

Gives you more freedom when you can use your feet to operate amp.

Very long connecting cord is a big plus.

Cons

Controls are noisy, makes a loud clicking sound when you step on them.

Could have more effects controls.
