Fender Vintera 50s Tele Mod MN SG Reviews
Beautiful guitar that plays amazingly well
This is my first tele that i picked up and man, you just can't go wrong with fender's quality of guitars, i was instantly blown away by how solid this guitar felt, the maple neck feels great to play on and the new modified pickups are nice and warm. And can we just appreciate how stunning the surf green looks, gives it an almost retro look that makes you want to pick it up. I mainly used my old strat for producing beats with and performing with friends, but this will definitely be my new main guitar, could not put it down when I first got it. Overall there's nothing I can really complain about when it comes to this guitar, its just an amazing experience to play with and is just an all round solid guitar.
Very nice instrument, but..
Sound and features are unbeatable. The finish is perfect. The neck is unbelievably smooth. The con i can find is the fretwork which is a bit rough, nothing terrible, but for this price range it shouldn't be that way
A great vintage Fender
Overall a great guitar: very good pickups, comfortable neck, perfect body finish.
I use the guitar mainly for home practice, with a Yamaha THR 5 amplifier.
The tone is great thanks to the vintage pickups: typical bright Telecaster sound, which can be easily darkened turning down the volume knob. The 4 position selector combined with the s-switch provides great versatility. Of course with single coils without sofisticated noise suppression systems you have to account for a little hum.
The finished maple fretboard feels really good. The soft-v profile neck is way more comfortable than I honestly expected and has a beautiful satin finish on the back.
The body is perfectly finished; the color is really close to the one shown in the picture.
Only flaw I can think of: the single ply pickguard is inherently prone to warping.
