Good

I come from the scarlet solo so for me was very complicated to understand the dedicated control software where you can control everything from the pc. I still have to understand that

Good for the price

I use this with the Scarlet OctoPre.

It does a pretty good job covering the things I need to connect, but I could do with more channels (40 at least combined with the OctoPre).

I have a mixer connected to enable other equipment to access the computer via the soundcards.

Focusrite support - their support is amazing and is 24/7. I’ve had the OctoPre replaced under warranty in 3 days without any arguments or hassle, making me think twice of considering another manufacturer if I decide to upgrade.

Sound

The Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 3rd Gen is my go-to audio interface. Solid build, intuitive controls, and versatile connectivity make it a studio essential. The Air mode adds a pro touch, and USB-C ensures minimal latency. It lacks MIDI ports, but the bundled software compensates well. Worth every penny for its performance.

Great bang for the buck

This is a wonderful interface. It sounds great and is very easy to use!

If you are looking for something that offers high quality sound and versatile functionality for a reasonable price, this thing is well worth considering a purchase.

Should have bought this earlier!

It was perfect addition to my audio setup. The product was as advertised everywhere, no need to review it myself everyone knows it.

Probably you can buy something a little better like Clarett+ if the features work for you and some extra money are not an issue.

Delivery was very fast even though I live on the other end of Europe.

Highly recommend

I bought a drum kit and mics so I needed something bigger than my small Scarlett interface. This is such an amazing upgrade and I’d highly recommend this if you’re looking for something to expand your studio/setup. The app for desktop is amazing too allowing you to control the different outputs straight from your screen. If I needed another one I’d buy this one again honestly great product.

Great device - shitty headphones amp :(

Bought it several months ago for my studio.

Amazing for recording several analog and digital instruments simultaneously.

Great sound, easy to operate, very high quality pre-amps.

Lots of outputs and inputs.

It should have been one of the best for its price range except for the annoying fact that the headphone amps are shit.

unless you use head phones with 55 ohms impendence you'll get immediate distortion. And when you do use headphone with 55 ohms or higher it sounds like shit, but without the distortion.

You can get by with proper headphones if you are recording and use the headphones as monitors. But for a mix, it's unusable.

Not sure what Focusrite were thinking when they've done this.

I have no choice and need to buy a headphones amp.

If you are not using headphones for a mix or have a good headphones amp, it is highly recommended.

Price/performance workhorse.

The best card I could find for the price which enables to do anything. Physical channels can be expandable with a preamp via an optic cable. 8 physical inputs are mostly enough for fieldwork.

It makes pops and clicks when recording long sessions for more than 15 minutes but they don't appear in the recording. So it's a small issue with hearing part I guess. Work with higher bitrate and ignore the clicks.

Software interface is fairly intuitive and enables users to make alternative monitoring. Drivers are working without problem with Voiceomeeter Banana stuff. My old Steinberg card does not work with them properly.

The biggest issue I can say is headphone preamps are not very powerful. Even if you hit the max level you can hear a quiet playback with DT-770 Pro 250 ohms. I have to use Behringer's headphone amp to amplify the sound especially on field recordings.

The design and quality of the material (knobs etc.) are exquisite.

Just buy and try if you think of it because its very easy to sell because there are too many of them running around.

Absolutely Balling

You will not find an audio interface with the same amount of channels with this quality of converters for this price. The possibility to connect via ADAT to another external amp makes it perfect for the definitive 16 IN + 16 OUT setup. I have it in a rack with a Clarett OctoPre with 16 XLR splitters and I use it to record live shows. It’s absolutely incredible being able to do all this on such a budget.

Best mid range ( maybe better than that) interface

Great product

Good price

Easy set up .

More than enough for any home studio , or mid sized studio.

Top notch

For an enthusiast producer/songwriter like myself, this really is all I need. It has the quality I want and the functionality. It even looks good. Only problem is I already filled up all the recording channels! Next stop, an ADAT expander.
