I've been on the lookout for a reasonable power sequencer for a while. And having recently bought the t.racks AutoSwitch 8, was hoping it would be the one. Unfortunately, such a budget sequencer is still not quite there. What the Furman gives you is quality. A beautiful 1U slim sequencer with remote switching options - which is just what you want. I have mine setup with 2 RS2 remote switches located at the front and back of our hall, so we can now properly switch on/off the equipment stored securely away at our school and it is great.

Replaced an older massive 3-RU power distributor with this new, sleek 1-RU FURMAN PL-PRO DMC E - and have realized, it goes way beyond just distributing power in my private studio! Straight out of the box , you can tell it is very high build quality - and delivers up to 20A capacity - it powers most of my studio and I have gotten rid of hum and crackle due to dirty AC ever since. I absolutely love the constant metering (dimmable LED Voltmeter / Ammeter in front which shows line voltage OR current draw) - I can imagine this is even more crucial for guys with LIVE stage setups. All the outlets are isolated and have noise and surge protection. The only con, if I have to find one, is the need of purchasing separate EU plug adapter (IEC adapter cable) in case you want to use European two-pole...

I've screwed this unit to a 1U rack shelf, and it goes in our mixer flightcase. One of the outputs drives everything inside the case, and the other goes to a power distributor to power all other musical equipment. We get a good clean sound at gigs, and it's peace of mind for when there's a generator or dirty electrics. We switched to using power conditioners after the agricultural nature of some generators at wedding gigs left half of our PA in need of repair. This is our second Furman - the first still being fine, but we were downsizing our equipment from a rolling mixer flightcase with outboard FX to a 3U flightcase with wireless digital mixer. It's not going to solve problems if you're not getting enough juice - I can recall a gig where the catering staff were on the same small...

I'm using this for powering my complete guitar rig no mater where. I'm using it even when I'm playing at home and it never let me down. The electricity was always consistent and I never had to worry about damaging my gear. Before digging into it in more depth here is a quick pros & cons list: Pros: - Easy to use - Rack mountable - Get's the job done - Integrated lights are powerful enough to light up your rack - Enough power outputs to power big rigs Cons: - Comes without any additional cables I would be really nice if there would be at least few basic power cables included. You have to get a little bit creative if you want to connect a normal power cable based device to the Furman. Other than that I can't find anything bad about it. It's a power conditioner and it works flawlessly.

This power conditioner rackmount is perfect for setting up a rack with multiple modules and other sound devices and cleaning up the cable management mess that would usually come with these kinds of setups. I use this for connecting my sound modules and even my PC and speakers in order to make sure there's good protection against electrical surges and to protect these modules from having electrical noise in their audio signal. There's a certain convenience in having one switch on the front to turn everything on and off so you don't have to worry too much about turning off a power strip somewhere all the way below your desk. This rackmount unit is actually not too heavy and screws into most racks easily, though it doesn't come with screws included. If you've got more than ten devices...

I have a basic 1st gen Focusrite Scarlett interface with a guitar plugged into it. For ages I couldn't understand why some people on YouTube have managed to get good tones with various Amp Sims, my setup was just too noisy and fuzzy. I've tried with a DI Box, took care of clipping, nothing helped. I've installed this power conditioner and boom, the noise was gone. And I'm not talking about placebo effect: my girlfriend instantly noticed the difference without me giving her heads up. It's day and night. In a nutshell: if you're living in an old building with shitty electricity, have a guitar and you'd like to use it with an audio interface only, you need to buy this thing.

Handling: This product weights 6kg's which is not too much considering all the components it has inside it. It also takes only 19"/1U space in your rack setup which is very nice thing. It also provides very clean and noise free power to your gear and regulates the power, so you won't hear any pops or other unnecessary sounds through your rig. Features: The unit itself has all features that you need; Dimmable lights and LED power indicators in the front, 11 IEC sockets and Bnc -lamp socket in the back. I really think that the switch for the back lamp should be located in the front - then you would have a much easier access to it. Quality: Enclosure is made of aluminum for reducing it's overall weight. It also seems very well built unit and so far I haven't had any problems with it!

I bought several power conditioners as part of a studio overhaul, so that each rack would have its own dedicated supply. Since my building has somewhat ropey AC, the conditioning element of these units is very attractive to me. In the end I got two ordinary conditioners and this rather more exciting one with lights built in... which, in the end, I'm hardly ever using. That said, they work very well: they only engage when they're slid out of the unit (so they're not consuming power when not in use) and they're dimmable. For a live rack they would be very handy indeed: obviously, though, you'll need to mount your power unit at the top of the rack! The real attraction for me is the RF filtering and power conditioning, which has really helped to minimise noise and buzzing in my studio....

I got the Furman P-1400 AR E to stabilise the line voltage for our backline. We've done some gigs where both the guitar amps drastically lost power due to the line voltage sagging; and sometimes in our rehearsal space they can sound lifeless too, especially on a colder day when we have a big electrical load on (heaters, etc). Tube amps appear to be especially susceptible to line voltage variations. So far it has worked fine; everything sounds a bit more consistent from one day to the next.. Also It's reassuring to have the surge+spike protection and filtering for the backline too. The only criticism I have is that the unit is fairly expensive for what it is: a big toroidal autotransformer with 8 voltage taps on it which are electronically selected, some filtering/surge supression stuff,...

Apart from keeping your equipment protected (which is no small feat), this power conditioner has solved some quite annoying noise issues that I was experiencing, such as: electrical noise at the output of an analogue synth, caused by the transformer of the power supply of another synth; some electrical interference in a power amplifier, which was heard as some subtle crackles in the tweeters; with the Black Lion Audio, the noises are GONE! Also, the build quality is very solid, the unit is really sturdy and well built. I couldn't be happier with the purchase, totally recommended!
