Tiny Footprint, Studio Punch

I think you already know these are excellent!

(To cover the lower frequency range please combine with the appropriate sub-woofer if these will be your only monitoring source).

To my ears these provide excellent sound clarity. Depending on the source material, soundstage is convincingly realistic. Definition & separation of certain instruments and vocals is really magnificent (depending on the content).

Have been scared on a few occasions where I heard something and thought it was actually in my room but realised it was part of the music!

Build quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

Don't look for some Chinese-made speakers

If you've bought a cheap speaker that looks like it's going to be great and you're complacent, I'm telling you, be kind to yourself!

The neutral and honest sound of 8030d will not give you the illusion of being intolerant.

The place of manufacture does not mean everything, but sometimes the company's insistence on sound can be seen here.

Buy with confidence..Money~ is gone, it turns into voice and waits for you!

Amazing sound

Amazing sound, built like a tank, and nifty features at the back of it.

I found the auto switch on/off really useful to avoid having to reach behind the speakers when starting something on them.

Clever design all around.

Quality and Realness

The flat sound , gives more realistic sound to instruments.

I got these as I had to downsize my setup after a move. Was previously using Yamaha HS8 (sold-too big), and then iloud micro (NICCEEE) in the interim period, which is now being used as recreational pair of speakers due to bluetooth capabilities.

8020D was about as big as I could go with my current space limitations, and presently I'm on a tiny desk up against the wall in a corner while I set up my other small room to be a home studio.

Used the dip switches on the back to adjust to the room and placement as much as I could.

Speakers sound amazing and huge. Clear and detailed with great imaging. I can close my eyes and a solo acoustic performance feels like it's happening in front of me, almost as if I can reach out and touch the guitar. Hip hop and RnB is also rendered beautifully with nice, tight bass. I could go on but I'll stop.

I will eventually add the sub, because I can. But if I couldn't, I would still be very happy. The Moog still sounds FAT through these. Easily the best pair of speakers I've owned.

Room acoustics fall short way before these do

I produce music in a regular room and I have these with 1 Genelec sub. They are flexible with settings and sound great. Once I get my room treated these are going to shine even brighter. Genelec is a trustworthy speaker for music production.

Let's be honest.

Low frequency below 150 Hz?

It does, but it's not perfect.

It's clumped together, and it's blurry somewhere.

A "physically small woofer" is the reason.

But "Physical Little Woofer" expresses a clear mid-frequency that big monsters can't.

(You don't have to tell me about the perfection of Genelec's high frequency, do you?)

If your studio acoustic isn't perfect, choose this product, and make up for the weaknesses of low frequency with headphones.

This friend will serve properly.

I'm sure it's a great product not only for video work but also for entertainment.
