Decent violin case

Very good value. Could be a little stronger the frame. Lock keys are very flexible, not strong

Sustainably made, sturdy, economical case

I needed a pair of matching cases for an acoustic violin as well as my YEV 5 string electric. I wanted something affordable, sharp-looking, and had a few additional must-haves (subway strap, shoulder/back sling-strap, space for shoulder rest/rosin/etc). These GEWA Bio-S cases fit the bill perfectly. Sadly, when I placed the order for two, they were backordered for *months*, but it was SO worth the wait! I've been regularly gigging with both instruments, and wouldn't have changed a thing about my order!

Bought it to my yamaha sv255. Fits perfectly.

Bow lenght 74 cm and 6 mm also fits in it.

Quality looka good. Shoulder strap wide and comfortable. Just plastic carabins.

Gift for friend

Nice gift for my girlfriend, she is very satisfied with look. There are plenty of space for accessories (she needs higher shoulder rest) Separate case for score is perfect soulution

Gewa's most basic violin case

I bought this case a month ago, attracted by its low price (considering it's Gewa) and the sleek look. However, after I got it, some of its features didn't match my expectations: first, the handle on the side is very loose, therefore if you are carrying it on your back with the straps, at every step you take, the handle bangs against the case. Second, the lid fits tightly onto the bottom side, meaning that you need to apply some pressure to separate both halves and therefore open it (I understand that some people will not consider this a disadvantage but a safety feature, as if you leave the two locks unfastened by mistake and lift the case, it won't open). Finally, the back straps have a single anchoring point at the top, making it slightly unstable when carrying on the back (although that is common in some other brands and models). Straps themselves are also quite thin and not padded.

On the plus side, the violin fits very well inside, it doesn't move. The case itself is very hard as well, despite being made of organically grown fibres. The accessories compartment inside is not huge, but just about fits a shoulder rest (Kun Original in my case).

Product delivered as expected.

Pros: Very well finished product, lives up to the name Gewa.

Cons: Packaging came open, used a very large box for much smaller product, smaller products came loose in a giant box.

Amazing case , great value for money !

I love this case, its very beautiful and great to use and keeps my violin safe.

Its excellent size and got generous space for your documents,violin, bows and any accessories . I love travelling with this bag, looks great and can be carried in different ways and is very stable to stand on the floor upright or sideways.

One thing I did not like is the handle is a bit loose which makes a banging noise if carried on the back while walking. I had to do a small modification using some electric tape to make it fit tighter.

The material is great and very elegant, overall very happy with the purchase and highly recommend.

Gewa Bio case

The case is sales ranking number one in the site, so I ordered, and its' quality is compact, hard. The inside room is enough to put shoulder rest, rosin, string, cleaning pad, and so on. Music note case is simple and comfortable to carry. If a thermometer would be put inside case, it will be great.

slim and smart violincase

i bought this case to replace my old one because it was bulky. this gewa case looks and feels good. on top of the casr is a slipcase for sheet music and other accesories, you can easily take it off if you dont need it. within the case is one spot where you can put neccesities like strings, resin and the chin rest.

I wouldnt recommend putting the chin rest underneath the neck of the violin ( there is space there) i hade a few times that it got caught in the hair of my bow.

eventhough the case isnt as big as others there is plenty of space to store you accesories and neccesities (win-win) , it also fits two bows.

Looks great, but strange odour

The bag itself seems very sturdy, looks beautiful, enough space to store accessories etc, two bow stands are included wich is a nice touch.. What worries me is that even after a week, the bag gives off an extremely strong unpleasant odour.

(edited, after roughly a month the scent has begun to fade, to almost nothing remaining now)

The material itself is very nice, and can almost forgive the scent issue due to this, it seems very high quality and after this time with the bag i've grown more and more fond of it. It still looks stunning and is worth a compliment or two.

Compact and classy

The flax outer covering of this case sets it apart from most others and has produced admiring comments from many of my friends. Despite its lightness and compact dimensions I am confident that its sturdy construction will protect my violin. The interior accessories compartment is a useful size and there is space within the case to store a shoulder rest. No string tube is provided but I was quickly able to fit one myself. The outer music pocket is large enough to hold orchestral sheet music. If needed, one of the backpack straps provided can be attached to the rings at both ends of the case so it can be carried on the shoulder.

The case does not rest easily on its side and care must be taken to ensure the lid catches have closed properly but these are minor complaints and overall I am very happy that it provides the features I need for regular and convenient use.
