Change of Sound

Good way of getting a different sound from your snare. In my case a wood shell. Like die cast hoops wood hoops are not flexible so I feel its important to make sure drum shell is true I.E (flat and without indents)

Also worth noting that if putting a wood hoop on snare side you should check that your snare stand basket can accommodate it as it will have a wider diameter than metal.
