I mean, it's a Gibson

I don't care for brands, and in the beginning of my search for the perfect guitar I had excluded Gibson because it felt overpriced, and I had read about issues in quality control in recent years and I didn't want the hassle. Then I tried this one - overpriced, maybe a little, but seriously the sound is well above anything else I have tried under 2k (except for Martins, they are still my favorite). And mind this is the smallest "cheapest" of the Gibsons (I don't count the Generation series because the extra sound hole freaks me out). The sound in this one is a little bit thinner than the Gibson Standard which is a magnificent instrument. I choose this over the Standard because the neck is less thick, and this one is so easy to play for people with smaller hands, and still the sound is amazing, just a bit thinner. The price hit me hard but I see it as an investment. I can see some tiny faults like glue sticking out of the neck joint, white inlay at the bottom not totally symmetrical, so I guess the quality control issue is still going on, but otherwise it seems OK and plays great, action was perfect out of the box. I write my reviews also for people like me with chemical sensitivities and mold sensitivities (you know who you are), and Gibson was one of the "cleanest" brands I could find.
